Meet Laura Cheadle | Professional Singer/Musician

We had the good fortune of connecting with Laura Cheadle and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Laura, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Music has always been in my soul. I literally came out of the womb singing as I grew up with my father (a legendary musician). I quickly saw the beauty of having that outlet. I feel like we become trapped in ourselves if we don’t have that creative outlet. My talent for music came easily and I really truly live to sing and perform.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Sure! I am a professional singer/musician signed with So Bold Ent/Sony Orchard of Sony Music that tours across the country with my soulful music. I tour with my all family band that includes my dad and brothers. This has been a magical life, using my creativity on such a beautiful scale. What I love about the music industry is that it’s always something different and you’re always meeting new people at each venue you play or an opportunity though music. It’s definitely not the easiest of roads because you truly are the master of your own domain when it comes to being an artist. I have learned to keep to what my heart says and trust my intuition. There will be so many people out there trying to change you but I always maintained the music that I wanted to create. I want the world to know that I write and sing from the deepest part of my soul and everything that I put out was a moment in time that I tuned into a melody. I’m so excited to release my new single “Time Thief” on March 31st with So Bold Ent/ Sony Orchard!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely take them to New Hope, PA. Although it’s a bit of a drive from my city of Philadelphia, it’s well worth it! New Hope is this magical place of gem stones, creativity, energy, music and amazing food spots. Personally, I’m a vegan so the vegan options are incredible. Each store is full of incredible little gems and it’s my favorite place in the Tri State area.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Dedicated to my dad, James Cheadle for always believing me, performing for me, recording me and showing me the way into this beautiful world of music
