We had the good fortune of connecting with Kyle Eaton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kyle, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
Although 3D printing is becoming much more mainstream than it used to be, not everyone delivers the same quality. When I started printing, I noticed the quality of most creator’s products and was so disappointed. Etsy and other marketplaces were flooded with low-quality products at impossibly low prices. Because people don’t usually know what to look for, they go with the low price. I promised myself that I would always take the time to hone the art, maintain my machines, and deliver high quality prints to every customer; and do it at a fair price to both parties.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’ve been a pharmacy technician for almost 15 years now. I’ve worked in all types of pharmacies, including independent, big chains, and hospitals. Pharmacies are not often given much IT support when it’s needed and when something breaks, its down for a while. I began tinkering with any machine that I worked with to better understand them and be able to maintain and repair them. Those self-taught skills have now landed me in the role of Pharmacy Technology Coordinator with Dayton Childrens Hospital. I love my job and everything that comes with it.

Because I’ve learned to problem solve and tinker with computers and other electronics so well, this translated easily into 3D printing. My first printer was a Creality Ender 3 V2. I like to say the Ender models are the Honda Civics of the 3D printing world. They take some serious tinkering, but they work very well and allow a lot of options for customization. 3D printers are not easy to completely understand, but I’ve enjoyed learning how these things work so I can do my job well.

The 3D printing community has been so helpful as I learn new things as well. I was just teaching my son the other day how the most successful people in this world, are the ones who aren’t afraid to find someone better than them and ask how they can learn from them.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I know for a fact that I would not be where I am today without my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. God has delivered me from the dark and terrible person I once was without Him, and shown me what true love feels like. I have been blessed in my life far more than I could ever be deserving of, and I know that even the small success I’ve seen so far is a gift from Him.

I’d also love to thank my wife, Tiffany, for supporting me in my endeavors. She is always pushing me to go beyond my limits to make something far more incredible than anyone expects. She reminds me to value myself and my work when I begin to lose confidence in my abilities. She is my best friend and teammate who is always making me better.

Finally, thank you to my sons Ryan and Bradley, the reason behind R&B Creations. Looking down at them as they look up to me and want to create and build something of their own is an amazing feeling as a father. It reminds me just how much God loves all of us and wants us to succeed. These boys have so much talent and a bright future ahead of them. I can’t wait to see them surpass me!
