We had the good fortune of connecting with Krysta Corona and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Krysta, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I was a stay at home mother for 4.5 years and decided I wanted to make money and have a purpose while my children were in school. I started working at Geico and felt great! Then started coming to school activities for my children that I did not want to miss and would have to see if I had enough vacation or sick time. I was not going to miss “Muffins with Mom” for anything and decided I needed to take matters into my own hands. I realized quickly that I do not fit in a corporate world and ventured out to start my own busines.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I believe Homerun Haulers stands out from the rest of the Junk Removal world because we are genuine people. We truly want what is best for our customers and make their satisfaction our top priority. We pride ourselves on operating with integrity, always being honest and transparent with our customers. We treat our customers like they are our family and that is what keeps them coming back. It is important to be relatable while upholding our professionalism. We move with compassion, patience, honesty and are just overall fun to be around! We also stand out because we are on top of our game and have great liability insurance that gives our clients a peace of mind!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First stop would be the beach! I love and cherish the ocean and not everyone is fortunate enough to live within 15 minutes of multiple beaches. We would have to hit up my favorite authentic Mexican restaurant, Las Cuatro Milpas, for some tacos and fresh tortillas! We would go to Old Town to check out the amazing Mexican culture and environment, do some shopping! I would love to take them to the San Diego Zoo to say hi to the amazing animals and get some exercise in while we eat a churro! I would have to take them to Sea World because my kids are obsessed and it’s a family favorite! We would hit up our family local favorite Italian restaurant in Lemon Grove called Lido’s!! So many options, we are so blessed to live in San Diego!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband deserves credit because, although he was not completely onboard in the beginning, he trusted my choice and dove in with me. This company stays afloat with our team effort and he puts in the hard work to satisfy our customers.
