We had the good fortune of connecting with Kristy Randolph and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kristy, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
The habits that helped us become and continue to be successful are personal development, rest, relaxing activities, taking small steps to big goals, building a strong small business network of like minded entrepreneurs, spotting opportunities and reflecting on past mistakes & successes.

These personal and business habits were some of the few that helps us stay diligent, continue to scale and service our customers. Ultimately will lead to our brand becoming a household name and go to for Lash Extensions.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Shes In Minks, a designer mink eyelash brand extremely passionate about helping YOU bring out the beauty within. Here at Shes In Minks we believe in celebrating and embracing individuality by offering our Mink Babes a large variety of luxury 100% handcrafted mink lashes, lash products & accessories. Each She’s in Minks pair of lashes comes with custom packaging and storage. The lashes are also washable and can be reused at least 25 times. Most regular lashes are disposable and can only be used once, but She’s in Minks isn’t just a regular lash brand.

Our brand through Pandemic, vendor/supply Chain slowdowns and everyday operational woes we were able to expand our brand presence, participate is some excellent mentorship & cohort opportunities and get our product placed in multiple online marketplaces. Some of the greatest lessons and takeaways were regarding new curator strategies, marketing/advertising work arounds and consistency in the market using trends as well as tried & true methods.

We are very diligent in expanding our business knowledge and being involved in organizations which facilitate education and industry standards. We participate in many workshops, network events and niche specific mentorship through the SBDC, Chamber of Commerce and Verizon Accelerators Program.

Shes In Minks is just starting to gain real traction and loyal clientele who continue to work as our personal brand ambassadors. We continue to scale and launch the newest styles, accessories and collections of lash extensions. Our new product will be previewed late winter as we are in preparation for the launch. We are always excited to bring the unexpected to our minkbabes!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Ashea Brand is the founder of the brand is my 19 year daughter who was the creative and brain behind Shes In Minks. Her early entrepreneurial spirt and courage to be unique is what launched the Shes In Minks in late 2018. Her mission to empower all lash enthusiast to Be Unique, Be You is what sets the tone for the brand and personalizes our movement. She is inspired by all the different customers and supporters she meets. Our minkbabes are our tribe!

Ashea was very involved in a mentorship program as a Teen Ambassador and also started a group at her local high school as an extension to the program. Detour/Empowers aka F.A.N.C.Y was vital in her early teenage years. The San Diego based program geared towards helping young preteen/teen and young adult girls follow their dreams, empower their goals, expose them to career & business opportunities, engage in community service and help foster them into their next stages of life after high school. Ashea currently attends Clark University as a sophomore, while in FANCY she was able to attend HBCU expos and talk to colleges 1 on 1. She was part of the program for 6 constitutive years and it definitely was a support system as she grew.
