We had the good fortune of connecting with KRISTIN L KAHLE and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi KRISTIN L, how do you think about risk?
Risk comes at many forms and shapes in life, but I’ve seen it mostly present itself as failure. The risk of failing makes us worry about things that aren’t ours and that we don’t have any control over them. The risk of failing, of letting other people down, stops us. What happens with women and fear is we start internalizing all the scenarios of our own lives and how we’re failing our kids, our spouses, our parents, ourselves, the world.
Our fear creates self-sabotage. But knowing our core values, honing in on what we really want to create, whether you’re starting or growing, is an excellent first step to allowing your fear to lead you rather than overwhelm you.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am proud of all the businesswomen I have seen make their companies grow with my mentorship. I know how hard can be as the leader of a business to ask for help. It’s really difficult to change this mindset where we, as the owners of the company, “have to” solve every single problem. That’s why, when someone reaches out to me asking for help, I take the time needed to observe closely the situation and let my imagination flow to provide them with ideas that actually make them happy.
I’m not afraid of talking about failure, because it has been an amazing teacher for me. And I try to share those lessons with others.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would start with a walk on Torrey Pine Beach, with Roberto’s burritos afterward for a tasty bite. Dinner should be at little Italy, those cute restaurants give a charming experience with delicious wine and gelatos. For shopping we would visit UTC Mall, and have an amazing dim sum and noodles at Convoy Street.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
In all the different challenges I have faced in my life, personal or professional, I always thank to everyone who has said “NO” to me. “NO” to my ideas, to my dreams, and to my proposals. They’re the ones who always NO-tivate me to achieve all my goals.
Beside that, I would like to thank all the people who have believed in my and have been by my side supporting my projects and celebrating my achievements.
