We had the good fortune of connecting with Kris Goman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kris, how do you think about risk?
Honestly, my whole life has been about taking risks. It started when I was expelled from my second year of university, where I was studying architecture. While everyone else kept following the traditional path, I first felt like I had fallen out of the system. It was uncomfortable, and I had no idea what would come next. Feeling lost forced me to start a journey of self-discovery — exploring what I love, what I don’t, and what I wanted my life to be.

I dabbled in photography, sketching, and even tattoos — which I still do occasionally — and tried extreme sports like aggressive inline skating and snowboarding. Photography, honestly, was probably the most peaceful of all, haha.

Then I took another huge leap: I left everything behind and moved from my hometown in Siberia to Bali to start a completely new life — the exact opposite of what I was used to. That risk had a massive impact on me. I realized the world is full of different cultures, and I wanted to explore them all. In Bali, I got into modeling, which became my full-time job.

After Bali, life brought me to Los Angeles, where I eventually took another big risk: shifting my full focus to social media. And so far, it’s been working!

What I want to share through my story is that behind every risk, something great has always been waiting for me. I don’t know if it’s luck or just how life works, but I’ve learned that stepping out of your comfort zone — even when it’s scary — is always worth it. That’s where growth, opportunity, and dreams live.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Since I was young, I’ve loved everything about creating — whether it’s painting, poetry, photography, fashion, or even music. Today, I work as a social media content creator, and I’m incredibly grateful for it because it allows me to combine everything I love while building a community of like-minded people.

Over time, I’ve become more aware of how different and unique everyone is, and that awareness pushes me to step out of my comfort zone and try something new every day. To me, that’s pretty much the idea of life. Right now, my art lives in fashion, photography, and storytelling.

I started creating content by sharing photo and pose ideas, and that’s when I realized I could help people feel confident, love themselves, and not be afraid to try new things. That’s where my journey really began — not just showing myself, but giving my audience tools to express themselves. I think that’s what sets me apart: I’m both in front of the lens and behind it, directing my own shoots, building concepts, and treating social media as a canvas.

I’m most proud of the community that has formed around my work. I’ve grown to over half a million followers in a year, but it didn’t happen overnight. It wasn’t easy — there were moments of doubt, creative blocks, and constant burnouts. I had to learn to keep evolving, experiment with new aesthetics, and trust that my creativity would carry me through.

The biggest lessons I’ve learned are that consistency beats perfection, and you should never give up on something you’re passionate about. You don’t need to have everything figured out — you just have to create, share it, and grow along the way.

I want people to know that my story is still being written, and this is just the beginning. My brand isn’t just about fashion or social media — it’s about creativity in all its forms. I see myself exploring music, building a fashion brand, and finding new ways to express art. I want my audience to feel like they’re on this journey with me, watching me evolve, and hopefully inspiring them to evolve in their own lives too.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The first thing that comes to mind is spending a day in the Manhattan Beach area — it’s probably my favorite spot around Los Angeles. It just has that signature California vibe! I’d definitely take my friends to the iconic The Comedy Store for some unforgettable laughs — their shows are fantastic.

Another fun activity would be paddleboarding through the Marina — you get to stay active while still relaxing in the sun and enjoying the views.

For food, here are my top five restaurants I’d absolutely bring my friends to:
* Elephante – insanely delicious food with an incredible view.
* Cecconi’s in West Hollywood – exceptional Italian cuisine that never disappoints.
* Uovo – also Italian, and it really makes you feel like you’re in Italy.
* Mama Por Dios – the best vibe and absolutely stunning presentation.
* Casa Madera – no words, only emotions!

If I could, I’d hope my friends could stay longer than just a week because California has so much to offer. Beyond LA, I’d love to show them Alabama Hills, Catalina Island, Yosemite, and more — all of which I think capture the beauty and diversity of the state. By the end of the trip, they’d get a little taste of everything I love about California – a perfect combination of the city vibe and the peace of nature.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
