We had the good fortune of connecting with Khrysster Prince Ipalari and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Khrysster Prince, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important lesson that my career has taught me is to be authentic and to stay true to myself. By being authentic, I learned that this allows me to embrace myself and appreciate my God-given talents that not everyone has. Not only that, being genuine with the addition of hard work allows me to create a better bond not only with the people who watch my videos but also with those people that I meet and become friends as well. This lesson also taught me that not everyone will like my craft and that those who do are the ones to focus on. By that, there will be people who will be inspired by my work and those are the people to focus on rather than the negativity that others bring. Keeping those people that I somehow inspire in the back of my head is what keeps me going and posting all the posts that I make.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My name is Khrysster Prince Ipalari, and I love to make music. What I am most excited about as of right now is that I just graduated college as a Civil Engineer and it is one of the greatest accomplishments of my life. Although it took me 6 years (longer than most), I learned that perseverance, dedication, and support (especially from family) can bring anyone a long way. Now that I am given an opportunity to be a Structural Engineer at the company United Structural Design LLC, I am most excited about being able to grow as a person in this new career while also having the opportunity to work on music when I am not in the office. With no homework, I am then able to focus my time on doing ALL the things that I love.
I would like to acknowledge that not only that I have the title of an Engineer, but I also am a musician, a volleyball player, and a barber; I think that this is what sets me apart from others. As a person, I love to learn about many things and acquire different skill sets in the realm of being creative. I may know how to do many things, but I honestly do not think that I am totally different from others because I believe that anyone can do what I do as long as that person is willing to be passionate about getting better at whatever they do. I always like to tell myself that even the slightest progress is still counted as progress. So it is not about being born talented, but becoming talented in other’s eyes through hard work when no one is watching.
I honestly wouldn’t say that I do the things I do professionally because I am not yet at a professional level, but I hope that it is enough to inspire others not only through the videos that I post but to also become a role model to the friends that I meet along the way. I want people to know that with music, I am self-taught, and I was able to become better through the many hours that I put in it. I think that my main goal is to show others that if I can do it, anyone can do it. Just like everyone else, I am currently on the journey of life and the journey to becoming a professional musician and a professional engineer. With that being said, I want the world to know that being good in one thing is amazing. But being able to do many things with the same quality is even more amazing. By embracing the struggles through the journey, that is when I think life is most fulfilling. And for others to recognize these talents and inspire other people, it is an even better feeling knowing that I, just as normal as everyone else am capable of doing things that are unimaginable.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am from Las Vegas, and if a friend was to come and visit, I would take them to the many places to eat at Food is always good here and it is a perfect opportunity to catch up and talk about life. If I were to pick my favorite food places here, they would be Hachi (Japanese cuisine), Oodle Noodle (also Japanese Cuisine), Shang Artisan Noodles (hand-pulled Chinese noodles), and Poke Express (Hawai’ian poke).
For sightseeing, I would love to take them shopping at the strip, fashion show mall, and Downtown Summerlin Mall.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost, shoutout to God for giving me another opportunity to showcase myself, my talents, and my thoughts. Secondly, I would like to shoutout my family for always supporting whatever I do and keeping me grounded at all times. Finally, shoutout to my friends here in Las Vegas for inspiring me to keep pushing through on my dreams and to always to good in whatever I do passionately.
