We had the good fortune of connecting with Kevin aka Qvo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kevin, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I grew up in a rigid, disciplinarian environment so Ive noticed that many (if not most) of my Ideas or Conversation Pieces were denied by my community.

I always felt stuck, like I couldn’t be myself and when I would try to make a statement with my Hair or Style then I would be reprimanded or shunned.
I wanted to feel Safe and Heard. Working with my clients through Barbering, Photography and Skincare gave me access to an Environment that I felt like I Thrived in.

Since then I’ve been Expanding my Views and thanks to my creative career, I am able to experience my ideas and flow into new ways of creating a Fuller Spectrum of Emotions during my process!!!

My Business covers Barbering, SkinCare, and Photography.

I proudly introduce my Clientele to opportunities to take their Self Care to the Next Level!

As well as personal services, I became a studio photographer and can create custom Images to fellow creatives trying to tell a story through a Conceptual Photograph

One of the biggest challenges is having enough time for everyone and every service available here at StudioQ. Regardless I show up and create fascinating new styles, beautiful fresh skin, and thought provoking concept art.

My experience in this Career has shown me how Fickle life can present itself to be. Its not always Positive as well as Negative,
I learned how to be “Adequately Qualified” for any Challenge and Blessing I encounter in my Business. I Trust in my ability to adapt and be present in both Discomfort and Joy.

My Goals align with my Desire to be a Pillar of Comfort and Trust to those who come Visit me and share their Vision at StudioQ

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The Coachella Valley is home to a wide variety of Experienced. As a Host I would have to make sure my Bestie has access to Caffeine, Lets grab coffee at IW Coffee! Their Elephant Spice Chai is my Favorite!

Breakfast is a Must, Lets go to “Brunch 101” in Cathedral City if we’re trying to Day Drink or “Lalas” in Indio for a more Hearty Plate!!!

I love taking Pictures at “Moorten Botanical Garden” in Palm Springs. Its the cutest desert plantlike tour and they have a gorgeous greenhouse for Cacti that has been booked for Stunning Engagement photos and its open to the public for a small fee.

Visiting the Coachella Valley isn’t complete without a Hike or the Tramway. Get ready for some beautiful Views of the Valley or a hidden Waterfall hike on Tahquitz

I can not stress this Enough… “Tac/Quila”!!!!!! My Favorite Dinner Spot in Downtown Palm Springs! My Favorite Dish would be their Oaxaca Cheese Filled Peppers and their Street Corn.

Okay Okay, Not everyone is always Hungry like Me so Lets go check out some Cute Speakeasy’s like “The Evening Citizen” or ” ‘Tailor Shop” in Palm Springs.

Doctor Nicole LePera, Aka “The Holistic Psychologist” is a monumental influence in my Journey. She empathetically guided my peers and I to search and recognize my Patterns of Behavior that negatively impact my life and those I love in my community as well the tools to heal from my past.

My clients deserve so much recognition for being my Models for my art as well as listening and giving me feedback on all my Ideas behind the chair and the camera

My Parents for choosing to evolve alongside with me as we continue our path of Self Discovery
