We had the good fortune of connecting with Kara Lynch Guthrie and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kara, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success is the team that I work with. Our brand is something we are all very proud of and we work as a team because we are stronger together;. Our brand is more than a catchy name. We are a team of women who came together from all different professions to create a life we don’t need a vacation from. We put our families first and work hard around their schedules.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We provide mentorship for women on building and succeeding in their own business ventures. We serve as marketing representatives partnered with a US BASED Manufacturer of everyday essential items. I’m most proud of how many people we have helped since the pandemic started. While so many people have lost work, we are thriving and have helped many moms (and dads) to supplement or replace their loss of income. We have always worked from home and utilized technology for our education platform, but since March we have expanded our offerings and trainings and have a system that is working. We know parents are faced with many new challenges of working form home with kids at home for on line school, Our business model is so flexible that you can design your hours around your children’s needs and demands. You can be the parent, teacher, cook, driver and still bring in the desired income needed to support your family.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’d start where I live, in Del Mar. I’d take them to the beach, hike Torrey Pines, drinks at the Plaza, lunch at the Pacific Coast Grill In normal times, a Day at the races and a concert at the Belly Up! Other favorite spots are La Jolla and Coronado. A staycation at the Del with a day out on a boat, riding bikes and catch a Padres game or two (again, in normal times. When we could attend events).
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Heidi Bartolotta is the founder if Moms Making Six Figures. It was her vision that paved the way for the rest of us. She’s a friend, mentor and a great leader. I would also credit the support of my husband Rob and my two boys Reagan and Keenan.
