Meet Juliana Rios | Journalist and Sports and Tourism Influencer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Juliana Rios and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Juliana, other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success?
Being determined and disciplined to have a routine even when you can do your own schedule. It’s a challenge to work from home (when not travelling doing videos for my channel) and manage to keep the house clean, take care of your daughter and having so many things to do according to my plan of growing my business.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Well, I first wanted to be a professional athlete. As I had to decide between going to college or keep practicing (my dad couldn’t afford both) I chose to study Communication. With that I started working at a TV network with sports. That was when I realized I did the right thing. I could learn every step of how to “make” TV and talk about sports. With time I became a reporter and from there I didn’t stop for nothing. Worked on huge TV Networks in Brasil covering Pan-American and Olympic Games, World Cup and so on. At a point, travelling so much, it came to my mind to create my own content around the world and with sports always involved. It was 2018 when I created my YouTube Channel: EXPORT PELO MUNDO. It was all never easy, but I love challenges. Every rock on my way became a step to keep growing. Today, I’m working hard to get my content on streaming TV and hopefully I’ll be able to reach great sponsors to keep travelling and doing sports everywhere I choose to go.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live in Orlando and I love all the stuff around this magical city. But, what I like doing the most is travelling around the state of Florida to camp and getting to know the spring and nice places in the nature. On top pf my list, I love going to the beach! There are great beaches close by!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many good people that deserve my gratitude along these 16-year journey. But none of them would have crossed my path if it wasn’t for the Universe’s force. God permitted each and every single soul to help me grow and learn how to overcome so many obstacles. A special shoutout to my mom as she always supported all of my crazy ideas and how she’s always believed in all of them!
