Meet Juan Gómez | Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Juan Gómez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Juan, what’s your definition for success?
Success can be defined in many ways. To me, success is defined by the impact we leave on others. I’m so blessed that I’ve came across amazing people that helped and continue to help me reach that level of success. Seeing the smiles on people’s faces when trying my products is everything to me. I love what I do and that’s also something that I believe can define success. Loving what you do and doing it for that sole purpose will bring you success in different aspects. My success is within all the supporters of my brand. Rim Drip wouldn’t be what it is today without the support that I receive from everyone day in and day out.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m proud of how much I’ve grown and learned not just as a business but also as a person. Running a small business will test your limits in ways you never thought it would. I love it though, I believe that there is ALWAYS room for improvement and that’s what excites me. The potential we have as humans is limitless. I wish I could explain how I got to where I’m at now but in all honesty, I’m just enjoying and trusting the process as it goes. Was it easy? Not always. I’ve hit a few bumps on the road that have discouraged me and that’s normal. It happens to everyone. It’s in that moment though that you make the decision to pick yourself back up and keep trying. I’ve learned that with hard work, dedication and a love for what you do can make these things possible. This brand at first was created to give drinking a better experience. Now, this brand to me is to help inspire all those who have that idea but can’t take that first step forward. I want this brand to serve as motivation for those just like me. If you needed a sign to start working on your dreams, this is it.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Coming down for a week long trip? Rim Drip has you covered. From breakfast spots to entertainment. Menudo at Tamaleria Maria’s is a MUST! Need something sweet? Raspados Don Manuel, If you know, you know! Best raspados in the city. S/O Don Meño holding it down for the one time! I’m all about trying and experiencing new things. I recently started attending Stand Up Comedy shows. Some good friends of mine and hosts of a dope podcast “The Lil’ Brown Boys”, Franky & Pancho have shows all over LA and they stay killin’ it’! After some laughs and drinks with great people, those late night taco cravings start to kick in. The good thing is that finding a taco spot in Compton is no struggle at all. Atlantic Ave. is poppin’ on a late Friday night. With easily more than 20 food truck/pop-up spots, the only real problem here is choosing where to eat with everything looking so delicious.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to shout-out everyone who made this dream possible for me and by everyone I mean, EVERYONE! If you ever bought something from me, liked, commented or even shared my business, THANK YOU! Thank you for believing in my vision and allowing me to share it with you all. Shout-out Lynwood, my city! The support I receive from the city and all the dope people in it is amazing. There’s no better feeling than seeing your local stores stocked up with your products. Actually, I lied. Seeing my local stores stocked up and selling out my products on a weekly basis is the best feeling ever. I’m blessed.
