Meet Joshua McQueen | Golf Content Creator/ FedEx driver

We had the good fortune of connecting with Joshua McQueen and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Joshua, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I was born in Detroit, when my parents got divorced we moved to Texas when i was 4. I spent my entire life in Texas until 2009, that’s when i moved to San Diego.
Growing up on a single parent income, we didn’t have much. There were times when we didn’t have anything, those times have made me a stronger person today and have helped me realize I need to be grateful and appreciative for everything I have.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I make golf content, all things golf really. If it’s for a brand, showcasing a course or just golf course content playing or skits. I really enjoy the golf skits, more room for creativity and I’m able to do and say what i please and not have to worry about if it’s on par with the brand(pun intended). Creating content is something i never thought i would be doing, but honestly I’m glad i did. It’s opened up so many doors and opportunities, plus I’ve met some really rad people along the way.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
After I picked them up from the airport, we would stop at my favorite spot in North Park, Dunedin for a burger and some beers, after that we would head over to Loma Club for a quick 9 holes and a beer at DirtyBirds. Head home, shower, and cruise over to Coronado for dinner and walk around the Del. Day two and three, show them my favorite courses to play. Goat Hill in O-Side, The Crossings in Carlsbad and Mt. Woodson in Romona. Would love for them to play Torrey, but wouldn’t expect them to pay those prices. Dinner at herb & Sea for sure. The next few days would be relaxing at a different beach, maybe some day drinking at Lahaina’s and then dinners in little Italy. Final day, if it’s baseball season, definitely a trip to petco to see the Padres play. One of the best Stadiums in baseball.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Definitely my mom. She instilled hardworking values, and to never give up on anything. Also my wife, she has been my biggest supporter since we have met and still continues to support me everyday.
