We had the good fortune of connecting with Jon Orc and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jon, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
We were thinking about how much profit and creative control we get if we just started our own thing. We did not want to work for anybody else and wait for someone else’s approval for us to be able create whatever we want.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We are an independent band based out of San Francisco called Hemorage and we run a company called Savage People where we do screen printing, graphic design, video production, photography, audio production and event curator.

We are most excited about our upcoming tour, music release and product releases.

We got where we are today because we did not stop working on our craft and building our business. It was not easy, but it did not feel like work because of how much we love what we are doing. We overcame challenges by just being resilient.

We’ve learned how to manage and balance our time and energy to everything that we do and figure out ways to solved our problems. We also learned how to innovate and think outside the box.

We want to inspire people that anything is possible if you work hard enough and not give up.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Drinks: Tempest, Benders, Lone Star, Lipo Lounge, Barebottle, Pegan Idol

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
