We had the good fortune of connecting with Joey Da’Mauro and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Joey, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Essentially I felt as if I should monetize my talents. I felt as if I can make more money using my talents then I could working for someone else.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work. What sets you apart from others?
I feel as if what sets me apart from everyone else that may be in my field is that, is Regardless if its film or photography you can feel the authenticity in my art form. You can relate to it and you could feel it. My brand Blessed Productions LLC Main focus is to bring the beauty in life regardless if its filming or photography I’ll bring it to the forefront.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my friends was coming over for a week I would take them downtown San Diego. We will definitely have to go to a Synful Sunday party. Thrown by southern Renaissance and Anthony Tyson. Also part with my good friends in San Diego THE YACCK BOYS  their Is three of us YACCK BOY STACY YAACK BOY DRE and myself YACCK BOY JOEY we throw some of the best house parties you could ever go to.


Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have so many influential people in my life that I could be here forever. But to narrow it down, Master gunnery sergeant William Robinson is one of the most Influential people in my life . He kept me out of trouble and taught me how to persevere , and most importantly that I could be myself at all times. Then some of my closest friends Tyrell Burke , Dominique Gomes, Thalia Kennedy , Sheldon Lee Dillard, Alysha Dillard , Danielle Shoemo, and CeDarian Crawford I really don’t know where I would be with out that group they are my family and my foundation. CeDarian is my mentor when it comes to film , and is the reason I became interested in the fine arts, and the process behind the camera.
