Hi Jessica, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
As a longtime consumer advocate and attorney, I understand the difficulties that individuals face when trying to navigate the legal system and find the right legal representation. It can be overwhelming, confusing, and frustrating to figure out where to turn for help. That’s why I believe that starting an LA based lawyer referral service can be an excellent way to help people find the right lawyer for their case.

Through a service like LawLinq I can bridge the gap between individuals in need of legal representation and attorneys with the expertise to handle their case. Having witnessed firsthand the difficulties consumers face when trying to find a trustworthy and qualified lawyer, I am committed to providing a service that ensures they are matched with an attorney who can best serve their needs.

Not all lawyers are created equal, and different cases require different types of legal expertise. As such, my referral service will prioritize matching individuals with lawyers who possess the relevant skills and knowledge required to handle their case. Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Owning and operating multiple businesses for over 15 years has taught me there is no secret to success. Rather, being perseverant, having a growth mindset, and responding optimistically to adversity are key.

While my companies have had their ups and downs, I am very grateful for all of it—as true success is about being able to learn from failures and adapt your business based on the lessons you have learned and grow as a result. Every business owner has different hardships and obstacles to overcome.

What I have learned from challenges is to remain determined and always look ahead. When the foundation of your business is both solid and transparent, you can feel confident about the blows it will withstand and that the truth will set you free! Keeping your head up and staying focused is a must as distractions will always be present on your journey. You must stay resilient and learn how to roll with the punches and come out stronger on the other side! Last, it’s crucial to learn from every mistake or setback and push onward and upward, stay on the rise, and never let obstacles stop you from achieving your goals.

And always remember that success is yours when you are determined and unstoppable.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would love to share some personal recommendations for spending time in Los Angeles. For a day of exploring, I highly recommend taking a stroll through the vibrant neighborhood of Silver Lake. This area is filled with trendy coffee shops, artisanal food spots, and vintage stores. I love wandering around and discovering new hidden gems. One of my favorite coffee spots is Intelligentsia Coffee, which has a cozy outdoor seating area and amazing pour-over coffee.

If you are looking for a taste of LA’s arts and culture scene, head to the Arts District. This neighborhood is filled with street murals, art galleries, and trendy bars. I love exploring the Hauser & Wirth gallery, which has a lively atmosphere and contemporary art exhibits. I also recommend visiting any of the city’s national parks or beaches like Malibu State Park. The views of the ocean, hills, and wildlife are absolutely stunning.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My parents have had an immense impact on my life, and I attribute many of my achievements to their influence. Without their guidance and support, I would not be where I am today. As immigrants and entrepreneurs, they faced numerous challenges, but they never gave up. They taught me the importance of working hard and persevering through difficult times, even when success seems elusive. They also instilled in me the value of mental fortitude, which has helped me stay focused and resilient in the face of adversity.
Growing up, I saw firsthand the sacrifices my parents made to reach success. They worked tirelessly to build their business from the ground up, often putting in long hours and sacrificing their own needs for the sake of the company. This experience taught me the value of hard work and as a result, I developed a strong work ethic that has been a valuable asset in my personal and professional endeavors.

The book “7 Habits of Highly Effective People” by Stephen Covey has also played a significant role in shaping my mindset and approach to success. It has taught me that success is not just about achieving goals but also about developing a strong character and personal philosophy. The book emphasizes the importance of being proactive, setting priorities, and continually improving oneself. It has been a valuable resource for me in developing my own personal and professional goals, and I continue to apply its principles in my daily life.
