Hi Jerry, we’d love to hear about a book that’s had an impact on you.
We help people to unlock their natural beauty and look their best using non-surgical techniques with low down time and technology rather than surgeries. Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Pacific Beach Med Spa, operated by Jerry Thrush, MD and Jenilyn Peros, DNP, is the premiere medical spa in Pacific Beach. It is located in the incredible PB Med Spa Plaza at 2204 Garnet Ave. The Pacific Beach Med Spa is a cut above others in the industry because of its Stanford-trained medical director, doctorate-trained clinical director, incredible staff, as well as because of its amazing facilities and great location, and of course, for it’s superlative cosmetic results and consistent five star reviews. The Pacific Beach Med Spa is fortunate to have Jerry Thrush, MD as its hands-on medical director. Dr. Thrush is a graduate of Stanford University School of Medicine and has been in practice for more than 30 years. He is a residency-trained, board-certified emergency physician with additional training and experience in cosmetic dermatology as well as in diving and hyperbaric medicine. Dr. Thrush is a hands-on medical director who is either on-site or immediately available. His service sets the Pacific Beach Med Spa apart from others. Dr. Thrush is an award winning physician, and was named as the 2013 Who’s Who Among International Professionals Worldwide Emergency Medicine Industry Professional of the Year. He is a member of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine and is a founding member and fellow of the American Academy of Emergency Medicine. His philosophy is that attention to healthy habits including exercise, diet, and care of your mind are critical factors that, together with an optimal skin and body program, can turn back the clock without surgery. Dr. Thrush is also a writer and speaker. He authored the Fallen Leaf Anthology series, a medical memoir, “From Paralysis to Praise,” and lectures on the Behavioral Basis of Wellness, and has created lectures on Living with Chronic Pain, as well as on his favorite topic (upon which he also offers individualized counseling) Medical School Admissions. Dr. Peros, the Clinical Director of the Pacific Beach Med Spa received her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at the University of San Diego. She was awarded Nurse Practitioner of the Year in 2017, by the North San Diego Division of the California Association for Nurse Practitioners, and the Advanced Practice Nurse of the year for 2018 by the Philippine Nurses Association of San Diego. She is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who also has special training in cosmetic procedures, such as advanced injectables, IPL, laser and skin rejuvenation at the National Laser Institute. She has served at Stanford University Hospital, Sharp Memorial Hospital, Kaiser Permanente, Palomar Medical Group and Graybill Medical Group. At the Pacific Beach Med Spa, our specialty is making you look amazing using non-surgical and often high-technology techniques. At the Botox & Beauty Lounge, we offer injectables to sculpt your face and give you a youthful appearance. We inject facial and lip-fillers, Botox, New-Tox, as well as Kybella to remove excess fat under the chin. In our HydraFacial Salon, we do HydraFacials, facials, eyelash extensions, permanent makeup, and sunless tanning. We also have an IV Infusion Bar where we offer hangover IVs, period-relief IVs, pre and post athletic event IV’s and many others. In addition to these services we also offer our own proprietary Timeblaster™ procedure to melt off the years and turn back the clock. We also offer microneedling, PRP, plasma-pen, hair removal, hair growth, acne treatment, and body and skin tightening. We are looking forward to adding body-sculpting treatments in the near future. The Pacific Beach Med Spa is excited to be located in the amazing PB Med Spa Plaza. The PB Med Spa Plaza is a medical and professional office plaza that has been newly remodeled in the unique Pacific Beach / Greek Island Fusion Style. In addition to the Pacific Beach Med Spa, it also houses other health and wellness related businesses, including the San Diego Academy of Aesthetics, the Thrush Center for Healthy Living, San Diego SportsMedicine Physical Therapy, Walk-in-Chiropractic, Radley Wellness, Clarity Counseling, and Accomplishment Coaching. The plaza has a safe underground parking lot, as well as on grade, parking, a beautiful central courtyard with tropical plantings, a fireplace, and a fountain.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If our best friend were visiting, we would definitely recommend they eat lunch in the Pacific Beach Fish Shop, only blocks away from the PB Med Spa Plaza on Garnet. We would suggest they walk, bike, or skate on the Pacific Beach Boardwalk, check out the Crystal Pier, visit Belmont Park and see the Plunge indoor swimming pool. If they are lucky they might catch a glimpse of the skating sensation, Slo-Mo on the boardwalk. Another place we love to recommend is the the Paradise Point Resort & Spa’s outdoor dining area on the bay. It’s especially amazing when they have live music. Don’t forget a day at SeaWorld, and, if you sail, rent a boat at the Mission Bay Sportscenter on Santa Clara Point. If you like fishing, try Noble Sportfishing across from Sea World for an off shore adventure.
