We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaymie Tarshis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jaymie, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Having resilience and a strong mindset. When I started my business I was 22, with little experience or skills, and hardly any money to my name. I could have easily let any of those factors prevent me from getting started, but instead, I chose to focus on what I could control and could do in order to make it happen. That mindset is what helped me land my first paying client that I ended up working with for over 4 years. Besides that, I think having resilience is the second most important factor behind my success. I’ve learned over the years to not let my failures or mistakes define me and to always find the lesson in tough times. I’ve also decided that giving up is not an option. It’s about finding a way to make it work NO MATTER WHAT.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I own an agency and consulting firm that specializes in helping heart-centered coaches, consultants, and online entrepreneurs grow with Facebook and Instagram ads. Since 2015, I’m proud to say that I’ve generated hundreds of thousands of leads and over 3 million dollars in sales online for my clients. There’s nothing that lights me up more than helping businesses automate their growth and increase their impact & income online. The journey to get here was not easy. For many years I dabbled in offering a wide variety of digital marketing services, which made it hard to attract high-quality clients and charge my worth. It wasn’t until I niched down and became known for one thing that I was able to easily attract my ideal client and watch my revenue skyrocket. My advice to anyone offering professional services is to become a specialist and get really good at offering one solution or service to your market.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My must-visit places in San Diego whenever a friend comes to visit are: – A walk on the beach or paddleboarding in Coronado – Seeing the seals and sea lions in La Jolla Cove – The rooftop views at Trilogy Cafe – Saturday at the Little Italy’s Farmer’s Market – Hiking at Torrey Pines – Sunset picnics at Kate Sessions Park

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Two people come to mind that have played a pivotal role in my success. The first is Marie Forleo. I came across her videos on Youtube when I was still working at my 9-5 job. In one of the videos, she mentioned the concept that “Anything Is Figureoutable” and it was that very idea that led me to quit my job and start my business within a matter of two weeks. The second person is my friend, and first-ever mentor, Shane Stott. He was one of the first people to really believe in me when I was first starting my business and without his mentorship, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
