Hi Jason, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to become more connected to the earth, while being able to become more self sufficient and provide locally grown heathy food to my community.

What should our readers know about your business?
My aim is to supply the community with wholesome organic food. With a deep affection for plants, I find joy in sharing this passion. Despite the difficulties of farming, particularly in areas with limited access to fresh produce, my love and dedication drive me to persist. Overcoming challenges becomes a motivation to keep moving forward. There’s a scarcity of farmers like me, emphasizing the need to support small-scale farming rather than depending solely on government resources, considering the depletion of large farm resources.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Yucaipa boasts numerous captivating historic sites. When hosting friends or family, we consistently prioritize exploring local small businesses. Our go-to spots include indulging in local craft brews at Brewcaipa Brewing Company, savoring delectable Mexican cuisine at Del Mar Grill & Cantina, and grabbing a quick bite of authentic Greek food at The Fat Greek. For a leisurely evening, we appreciate the serene atmosphere at North Cork Winery, reveling in city views. Additionally, exploring the abundance of hiking trails allows us to connect with nature. Yucaipa truly caters to a diverse range of interests.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
A big thank you goes out to the community for supporting my family and me over the past few years. I appreciate the customers who consistently come in week after week to purchase plants, vegetables, and support other small business products we offer. My kids have played a crucial role in realizing this dream, providing support and assistance throughout the journey.
