Meet Jasmine Saleh | The Preferred Notary

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmine Saleh and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jasmine, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
From Homeless at 18 to Successful Business Women: How God Took a Broken Girl and Built a Brand
My roots trace back to Egypt, but I was born and raised in America. My mother was a powerhouse—a successful businesswoman who poured love into her family and community. But when I was just six years old, she passed away. Life changed overnight.
I grew up in the Inland Empire, raised under strict rules and emotional chaos. I had two stepmothers—one of whom I formed a bond with—but truthfully, my childhood was far from normal. I was called the “popular loner.” Quiet. Driven. But silently struggling. Behind the smiles, I had a front-row seat to dysfunction, pain, and neglect.
At 18, my father kicked me out with no job, no car, no home—nothing. I was homeless and completely on my own. That should’ve been the end of my story. But it was just the beginning.
At 19, I gave my life to Christ. That decision gave me a second chance—and I started my first business the same year. I tasted early success, but internally, I was crumbling. Years of unhealed trauma, emotional pain, and spiritual emptiness caught up to me.
By 27, I hit rock bottom. Spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and financially—I was done. Out of business. Rejected. Mocked. Despised. Left for dead by the world. But that’s exactly where God found me.
The Holy Spirit pulled me out of the pit I was drowning in. Addiction, shame, failure—gone. Replaced by resilience, purpose, joy, and unshakable faith.
Today, I’m the founder of The Preferred Notary—a thriving, top-rated business with hundreds of happy clients and a powerful network of real estate professionals, attorneys, and lenders. I’m respected in my community—not because life was easy, but because I let God rebuild me from the ashes.
My story isn’t just about success. It’s about redemption. About what God can do with someone who was abandoned, broken, and lost—but said yes to Him anyway.
I had nothing. Now I have purpose.
I was rejected. Now I’m respected.
I was overlooked. Now I’m preferred.
This is what happens when you let God write your story.

From Instacart to Influential: How $1,300 Changed My Life Forever
My name is Jasmine K. Saleh, better known as The Preferred Notary—a full-time mobile notary and certified loan signing agent specializing in real estate and estate planning transactions.
But just two years ago, I was hustling full-time for Instacart—driving in the rain, the heat, and through exhaustion just to make $100 a day… and many times, I barely scraped $50.
Then on June 29, 2022—my 29th birthday—everything changed.
I received a $1,300 check from a car accident that happened two years earlier. I hadn’t seen a comma in my bank account in ages. But instead of blowing it, I made a choice that would change my life:
👉 I invested in my notary commission.
At the time, I was living with my stepmother, working 40+ hours a week as her unpaid maid/assistant. I made $100 a week. My phone had no service. My car was on life support. But I had a vision.
I failed the notary exam the first time. I studied, took it again, and passed. I did Instacart by day, studied by night, and eventually scraped together enough to rent a room in San Bernardino—where I lived for two years while investing in my education and certifications.
But success didn’t come easy.
I turned down same-day Instacart money to accept $30–$50 notary jobs that wouldn’t pay for 30 days. I maintained a 2019 Nissan Sentra with over 160,000 miles that sounded like a lawnmower—but I kept it clean because I wanted to show up professionally, even when my circumstances weren’t.
I took a loan signing course, learned how to market myself, and started prospecting realtors, lawyers, escrow officers—anyone who would listen. I walked into escrow offices with a briefcase and boldness, dressed like I was already successful.
And then it happened.
After delivering docs to an escrow officer, I asked for her card and sent a thank-you email from Starbucks. She replied:
“I have two signings for you.”
💥 My first direct business. $200. Game on.
Soon after, I randomly walked into an open house and met a top-performing realtor who invited me to a BNI chapter. I didn’t even know what BNI was—but I said yes. That man turned out to be the chapter president, closing $25M a year. He introduced me to one of the best-performing chapters in Riverside County.
Since then, I’ve built a powerful referral network of realtors, lawyers, lenders, and estate planners. I now serve hundreds of happy clients, with record-breaking days doing 7–10 signings, and $500–$650 in daily assignments.
But behind all the wins were some deep battles:
💔 Family betrayal
💊 Addiction recovery
😞 Rejection and jealousy from people I loved
🚫 A landlord who intentionally made my living situation unbearable
😔 Severe anxiety, long hours, no rest
I wasn’t even allowed to shower if I got home past 9:30 PM.
I was mocked. Tested. Pushed to the edge. But I never gave up.
Fast forward to now:
✔️ I’ve upgraded my car
✔️ I moved into my first brand-new apartment
✔️ I lead as the Education Coordinator in my BNI chapter
✔️ I run a thriving brand: The Preferred Notary
And the real secret?
🙌 I didn’t build this alone.
The Holy Spirit built my name, my brand, and most importantly, my character.
If you’re struggling, just know this:
You are one decision, one step of faith, and one God-ordained opportunity away from a completely different life.
Faith. Grit. Consistency. Growth.
That’s what I stand for. That’s what my brand represents.
Nothing about this journey was easy.
But it was worth everything.
All glory and honor to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were in town, the first thing I’d do is cook them a delicious homemade meal—something warm, flavorful, and made with love. We’d spend the evening playing board games, catching up, and laughing until our cheeks hurt.
Next up? A beach day, of course! I’d pack the grill so we could make hot dogs and burgers right on the sand, play a few rounds of volleyball, and soak in the sun until we’re golden and glowing.
Then, we’d need a thrill day—either at Knott’s Berry Farm (where we have to stop at their chicken diner—best fried chicken ever) or Universal Studios to hit every ride possible. Fast passes? Absolutely. We’re skipping those lines and making the most of every minute.
Because I love a good steak, we’d definitely plan a nice dinner or two. Think Texas de Brazil, LongHorn Steakhouse, or Shogun—somewhere the food is unforgettable and the vibe is just right.
To me, the best memories are made with people who know how to live in the moment—laughing, being present, and enjoying the little things. We don’t have to go far. We just have to go together—and I already know it’ll be a great time.
