Meet Jasmine Lainfiesta-Raymundo | Lifestyle Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmine Lainfiesta-Raymundo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jasmine, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
One of the quotes I always remember is: “live for the moments you can’t put into words.”
This quote always resonates with me because it is a reminder to not take life too seriously. We need to live our lives with bliss and endless adventures because we do not know when it will be our last day on earth. This is why I became a photographer because it gives me the opportunity to capture peoples’ special moments and ensure that it can last for a lifetime. Looking back at photographs you are not always able to describe the specific events that may have taken place but you are able to relive the emotions during that specific moment and that is what I strive to capture.
I always want the people I capture to remember their emotions through their photographs since that is what, as humans, we always look for in the past: a happy moment.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
A photograph is our way to time travel. . . an opportunity to revisit our old selves.
I have always been intrigued with the way we are able to capture a specific moment in our lives and are given the opportunity to look back at it in the future.
I don’t simply take photos of people; I view it as a form of preserving time. I want to be able to capture the exact moment someone is smiling because their significant other told a funny joke. I want to be able to gift someone the opportunity of being able to give their memories to others. I want to be part of the ride when someone is asking their loved one to spend the rest of their lives together. Being able to capture any form of moment is what drives my passion and sets my soul on fire.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would definitely take them to the best matcha place ever: Rail Side Cafe in San Dimas.
I would then take them antique shopping in downtown San Dimas and end the day by watching the sunset at San Dimas Ave trailhead.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mom and my husband are two special people who have helped and supported my success. My mom would help me with props and drive me around to locations when I became pregnant and ensured that I stayed hydrated. My husband helped me with the administrative part of my business and also built some of my props. Both of them have made my business run smoothly and I am eternally grateful for their endless support.
