We had the good fortune of connecting with JaidaBee and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi JaidaBee, what matters most to you?
The value that matters most to me is accountability because it gives a sense of responsibility and the ability to be reliable towards anything I am a part of or set my mind to.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My music isn’t comparable. There is a lot of passion that goes into my creative process. I make everything from upbeat music to slower-paced songs. I’m a well-rounded, versatile rapper composed of originality and lyrical wordplay over upbeat music with a love for each of the different components within my music. I use a unique thought process when I create my music and utilize sound effects to help bring out my lyrical story. A lot goes into creating my unique sound, and this is just a small part of it.

I am proud of my overall journey and who I’ve become and continue growing into as a recording artist. I am excited to release new music and get my sound further out there. I rap and release EDM music and instrumentals. I am well immersed in the full aspect of the creative process, so my upcoming releases have me eager to showcase all the hard work I’ve put in throughout the journey.

My professional journey began when I was a child. My passion came from my nana, who used to watch me growing up and used to play different styles of music. I would begin to create lyrics and melodies in my head, unaware at the time that I had already started creating my own sound. I would create different flows and rhythms, which led to my passion growing even stronger. My parents took notice of my passion and bought me a karaoke machine and a drumset, where I could search for what would be the official beginning of my sound. At age 10, I received my first phone, which gave me a proper toolset to dive in completely. I would utilize a drum machine app called “SPC” to begin bringing my visions to life.

That being said, my journey wasn’t easy. I took my inspiration and worked as hard as possible to get into different music programs and educate myself on the entire industry. Growing up, I even ended up with an opportunity to participate in a program at Carnegie Hall. There, I learned it would never be easy. I learned that it was a lot harder to get my voice out there as a female producer, but it further pushed me to become a strong-minded, outspoken individual. I learned to adapt and find ways to ensure that I could be heard.

There are a lot of lessons that I’ve already experienced. The main one is that you can never take criticism too personally. It’s meant to help you grow, and you have to have thick skin to process everything and evolve into a more vital recording artist and overall creative. No matter how tough it may sound, every piece of feedback is good and will only help you develop yourself further.

I want the world to know that there are no limits. Everyone can accomplish anything that they set their minds to. Through my brand, I desire to make people feel good and positive. My fanbase is referred to as “Bosses” because I want to motivate them as much as they motivate me. We are all strong individuals with an entire future of limitless possibilities ahead of us. This is simply the beginning!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to give a shout-out to my friends and family, and organizations that have taught me and who have supported me throughout my journey.
