We had the good fortune of connecting with Irma Haiman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Irma, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
It all started with a God given dream. The dream to encourage women and remind them of who they truly are in Christ. They are God’s daughters. Each one of them is His Princess, hence the name. I then thought, what better way to let them know than through fashion. Pick your favorite tee, dress it up or down and be confident walking in your royalty.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m so excited for the future! My brand is not just about a graphic tee with an encouraging quote. It’s about helping women learn about self love. It’s about women knowing their worth. It’s about women believing in themselves. I want, when women see my His Princess logo, to automatically know who they are! Being on this journey has not been easy, but through prayer and with the help of my business mentors, Jacqueline and Minna from The Product Boss, I have been able to learn how to run a business. God directs, opens doors and places me with the right people.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Living in America’s Finest City has so many fun and amazing places to checkout! Once this pandemic is over, I’ll be having sushi at Sushi On The Rock in La Jolla. Then hang out at La Jolla Beach taking in all of the beautiful scenery. Walking around Balboa Park is always a treat. There are so many photo opportunities. How about Coronado? I love going over the Coronado Bay bridge and enjoying the day there. So much to do and Hotel Del Coronado is a must see! Fun fact, my dad started as a busboy, then a waiter and finally a bartender there about 45 years ago!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
You know, I wouldn’t be on this small business journey without the help of my wonderful husband, Justin. He helped me with all the details. He is very detailed oriented and excellent with numbers, which is something I truly appreciate him for. Also, my best of friends have been on this journey with me. They have been my models! When you check out my website or my Instagram, the models rocking my tees are all so special to me.
