Meet Greycen Ferguson | Brand & Web Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Greycen Ferguson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Greycen, why did you pursue a creative career?
I’ve always been someone with many interests and have never done well when my options are limited. My creative career has allowed me to explore different passions from photography and illustration to graphic and product design. Being in the creative industry provides me the opportunity to practice skills in multiple areas and pivot between interests. It’s fun being a jack of all trades and jumping in when needed since there is crossover in so much of the creative field!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Things have changed so much since I began! Consistency and adaptability are the key traits to a thriving business. There have been so many times that I’ve wanted to throw in the towel when I’m overwhelmed or am craving more balance. However, the persistence has been worth it. I’ve continued to show up for myself and my clients while also adapting to their needs. It’s taken a while to nail down our services. We went from offering brand and web design to only web design and now a full-service approach with a lot of offerings to be partners alongside our clients as they scale. I want the world to know that we are in it to win it with our clients. We are invested in them and work with those whose values and products we align with. We will do what it takes to find the resources and execute on all digital marketing needs to get our clients where they need to go!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Love this question because I love the city I live in – San Diego! Some of my favorite outings are takeout from Bahn Thai and picking up a bottle from Clos Wine Shop, grabbing pizza at Hoboken’s and watching the sunset at Law St, or eating dinner in Little Italy at Bencotto then enjoying a beer at Mikeller’s after. During the day, I’d recommend soaking up the sunshine by playing pickle ball at one of the many courts or renting bikes on Coronado. If it’s hot enough for a beach day, then I’d head to Windansea or Del Mar. I’d spend a day up the coast in North County exploring the Encinitas beaches, shops, and restaurants. There’s so much to do and see here to enjoy!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have my clients and connections primarily because I worked full-time at different startups and corporations after college. My mentors are the ones to thank across the different roles I’ve had! They invested in me, provided constructive feedback, and helped me level up my skills. My early career experience working a 9-5 helped build the momentum I needed and make relationships with coworkers to gather the referrals that are required when starting a service based business. There is always value in working for others and getting mentorship/building connections that will help your goals when the time is right. I truly owe it to my bosses and coworkers for where I am now.
