We had the good fortune of connecting with Gregory Moss and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gregory, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Growing up, I faced many hardships and lived in fear. At 18, I decided I wanted a better life. I started working at a maximum-security prison, seeking a stable career and a future for my kids. After nine years, I resigned, paid off my house, and enrolled in college for cybersecurity. Around that time, I discovered magnet fishing on YouTube. I started a channel to relieve stress and try it out. From my first toss into the river, I was hooked, pulling out everything from box cutters to gun barrels.
Balancing my college studies and YouTube adventures, I made it my mission to succeed in both. Next year, I’ll earn my associate’s degree in cybersecurity engineering, and as my YouTube following grows, I hope to build a community there too. The thrill of pursuing a career, embarking on adventures, and being a role model for my two teenagers is incredibly exciting.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My name is Greg, and my journey into the world of cybersecurity and YouTube has been anything but easy. What sets me apart is my relentless pursuit of knowledge and my ability to turn challenges into opportunities.
When I first started learning cybersecurity, I knew nothing about it. Motivation was my hardest struggle. I overcame this by enrolling in countless bootcamps, each one building my skills and confidence. The more I learned, the more passionate I became about the field.
Starting my YouTube channel was another significant challenge. Posting videos and getting only one view was incredibly disheartening. However, I didn’t let this stop me. I kept creating content, learning from each video, and slowly building my audience.
Today, I’m proud of how far I’ve come. I’m on the verge of earning my associate’s degree in cybersecurity engineering, and my YouTube channel is steadily growing. The lessons I’ve learned along the way are invaluable: perseverance, continuous learning, and the importance of staying motivated even when the results aren’t immediate.
What I want the world to know about my brand and story is that success doesn’t come overnight. It’s a journey filled with ups and downs, but with determination and hard work, you can achieve your goals. I’m excited about the future and the opportunities that lie ahead, both in my cybersecurity career and my YouTube adventures. This is why started my brand Outdoormore on YouTube

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love the outdoors, and the river is my go-to spot for all my treasure hunting adventures. Afterward, I enjoy taking people around town to show them the beautiful scenery.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My wife is my biggest motivation
