We had the good fortune of connecting with Gina RichE Richardson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Gina RichE, what is the most important factor behind your success?
My brand’s success is tied to me showing up authentically as me! The whole game changed when I woke up and realized that my personality and perspective are what would open doors for me! I’ve learned that the world appreciates real people with honest, relatable thoughts, not people walking around in filters trying to be a carbon copy of what they think people want to see or hear.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My brand, Mindfully Rich, is a consulting firm that assists individuals and businesses with personal and organizational growth centered around DEI, motivational speaking, and financial literacy.
Mindfully Rich has various products and services, including financial education, DEI workshop facilitation, and motivational speaking.
As the founder of this brand, my empathy, well-rounded industry experience, and personal, relatable stories genuinely help lead the mission I’ve set for the Mindfully Rich brand to influence change in my audience.
Mindfully Rich was founded because we wanted to motivate, inspire and increase the education needed in unrepresented communities, allowing individuals cost-effective services that will enable them to grow personally and professionally!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My success is nothing without my circle, which uplifts me to be the woman I am and the businesswoman I aspire to be!
First is my best friend Sharice of 32 years, who I affectionately call Reese since childhood, who’s my second mother, my confidant, my advisor, my therapist, and my rider. Without her daily words of encouragement and motherly support, I don’t know where I would be!
Next, my God Sister Tonya, my doctor, and my voice of reason, who always keeps me sound to reality and reality that I can have anything I want!
Next to my fran circle, Alisha, Charrisha, and Teresa; we laugh together, cry together, discuss our business plans, do hoodrat things together, and pray together; you all keep me inspired, and I love you all! I can’t forget my Capricorn friend Author who helps me not take life too seriously, gives me realistic dating advice when I’m losing my mind, and keeps me cracking up over daily voice notes.
To my mentors, Tracy and Anne, who have been angels in disguise here on earth for me, moving mountains, looking after me, and continuously pouring personal and business wisdom into me.
My dear Sorors of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, who support me personally and in business and believe in me enough to recommend me and my services to people and companies, keeping me employed; Special shoutout to my Sorors Julie, Kira, and Kya because ya’ll have helped me in some tough times of need, and I appreciate you!
My cousins, who believe in me and have inspired me, and my friends and family who’ve been by my side, I appreciate you.
Last but not least, my children, Tayshawn & Autumn, who think I’m a superhero and make me feel like I can conquer the world, I love you, and both of you are my why and why I keep pushing for greatness!
All I am is because of my dearly departed Ma Ma, Renee, and Pa Pa, Billy; my success is because of what they engrained into me. To honor their memory, I promised them I would do all I could here on earth to make them proud in heaven.
