Meet Gina Aliotti | Fitness Trainer, Lifestyle Coach and Nutritional Specialist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Gina Aliotti and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Gina, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
Several key habits have been instrumental in my success. The biggest umbrella habit is having a scheduled routine. Having structure has allowed me to feel grounded, especially as my days have gotten busier and more complex. A structured routine provides consistency and helps me stay focused and productive. It also allows me to balance my personal and professional goals effectively.
Another critical habit is having non-negotiables that I never waver on—these are my pillars. For me, that includes daily exercise, eating healthy, taking one day each week to unplug completely and turn my brain off (Sunday), and prioritizing what truly matters. These practices keep me grounded and ensure I show up as my best self, with sustained energy and avoid burnout.
I also focus on seeing the positive in everything. I believe in finding the good or the lesson, even when things don’t go as planned. I call these moments “B’lessons” because they are blessings disguised as life lessons. This mindset shift has helped me embrace challenges and grow through them. One habit I have adopted that has been huge for how I set up my day is starting with a 3-minute gratitude practice immediately before getting out of bed. I focus on all the blessings in my life and how grateful I am. These 3-minutes have been powerful in directing my brain to see the positive before I even start my day…
Letting go of rigid expectations and trusting the organic flow of how things unfold has been another transformative habit. It allows me to adapt and remain open to opportunities I might not have initially envisioned.
Beyond my gratitude practice, once I get myself up, I sit with my coffee and journal and dedicate 20-30 minutes to silent meditation and journaling. This has been a game changer in my success, allowing me to start from a calm and grounded space BEFORE stepping into the day.
Lastly, one of my favorite mantras is “Eat the Frog First.” This means tackling the hardest or most daunting task on my to-do list first thing in the day. Once that’s done, everything else feels more manageable and flows more smoothly.
Together, these habits create a strong foundation that keeps me focused, consistent, and aligned with my goals.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My name is Gina Aliotti and I am the founder of Gina Aliotti Fitness and the G-Fit App, where I empower women to achieve inside-out transformation through my “less is more” fitness philosophy. My journey began with a health-conscious upbringing and a love for fitness instilled by my dad, a competitive bodybuilder. At 19, I entered my first Figure competition, which sparked my passion for health, fitness and helping others. I competed as an IFBB Figure professional, winning many shows and sculpting not only my body but my mindset in the process. I feel in love with the journey to “success” and overcoming obstacles along the way. I fell in love with our ability to groom, sculpt and change our bodies while also learning the importance of health, fitness, moving your body and prioritizing everything that leads to a positive and successful version of you. I wanted to help anyone and everyone seeking all things fitness because I felt it truly is the root and foundation for the success in all that we do.
After retiring from competing in 2009, I shifted my focus to developing simple, effective fitness and nutrition strategies for busy women. My approach combines mindful movement, carb cycling, and stress management to create sustainable, balanced lifestyles. Through the G-Fit App, 1-to-1 coaching, and retreats, I’ve helped thousands of women build muscle, lose fat, balance hormones, and break free from restrictive dieting. My passion is to help women see that there is a realistic way to living a fit and healthy lifestyle that doesn’t suck up tons of your time. It was through my short home workouts with my dad and the grit built through my competitions that lead me to creating what I live and preach today.
My mission is to guide women in embracing consistency, intentionality, and a champion mindset to achieve long-lasting health and vitality without overcomplicating the process.
I also am the owner of Volare Nutrition, a start-up brand focusing on wellness and providing supplements for the brain and body to live a powerful life as they age…
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
This is a fun question! I LOVE Carlsbad Village. The downtown is so special providing life, food, fun and a chill vibe. We would start our day sipping on coffee from Lofty Coffee and just enjoy the early morning before heading to beach for a walk or maybe run along the boardwalk breaking up the pace with running up the stairs at every tower. Then we would land at the grass area where we would do a quick G-Fit circuit that consisted of nothing but body weight. We would then take a plunge in the ocean to cool off and enjoy some cold submersion. From there we would dry off and get a bite to eat at a local healthy restaurant called Naked Cafe, in the heart of the village. After a yummy meal would change and get ready to explore the downtown. We would head to The Carlsbad Candle Bar, my favorite place to make your own personalized candles. While they settle for pick up, we would explore the cute shops on state street and then find ourselves at Carruth for wine tasting and talking time. Chatting all things life- that may include anything from the purpose of life to s*x … haha anything goes just a raw and real girls day… We would then head over to pick up our candles and grab an early dinner, late lunch at my favorite Italian restaurant Fresco 264 rooftop, Most likely pizza would be on the menu with a nice martini to toast to friendship, girl time and quality time. Depending on the time of year, we either catch the sunset on the rooftop or we catch it later… After the best food and conversation, we may find ourselves letting loose at Coyote’s for some dancing…
There is also another fun spot called Crackheads, we may walk by to check the vibe if dancing isn’t in our energy bank although Coyote’s is always the best for music and GOOD people watching …
Such a perfect balanced day of fitness, friendship, conversation and connecting… I am a simple girl at heart and love the small things in life. This pretty much sums of a perfect best friends day with me )
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
A huge shoutout to my dad, my biggest cheerleader and the one who got me started in the fitness industry. He not only introduced me to the “less is more” philosophy that now defines my business but also shaped my positive mindset and my “glass always full” outlook on life. Who would have thought that our father-daughter mini workouts before school would lead to a business that has helped many women see that it doesn’t take much and less is truly more! Who would have thought that our conversations that always ended in “G, don’t worry about it” would help shape the mindsets of so many women to let go of the small stuff… I am forever grateful for many lessons that have been embedded in who I am from a young age.
My dad has been a pivotal reason behind my journey—helping me stay focused on simplicity, not giving up, and embracing what truly matters in a world that can feel so complicated. I’m endlessly grateful for his belief in me and unwavering support! ❤️
