We had the good fortune of connecting with Gavilán De Oro and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Gavilán, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I’ve always aspired to become a pro-wrestler since the age of 5. In my late teens I started training and been performing for almost 2 decades now.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Well the fact that I can continue to live my everyday life and that I’ve been able to continue training consistently this past decade is a blessing itself.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well fortunately L.A. has everything and I’d definitely give them a tour of my hometown of East LA. Instead of bar hoping we’d be taco truck hoping.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Yes, ofcourse I struggled for some time seeking someone to train me and teach me the fundamentals of pro-wrestling/lucha libre, during this process many doors were shut on my face when I started and the only person who offered to train me was the man who taught me everything I know, which is (socal legend) Super Natural aka “Paquita”. I definitely thank God for giving him the patience to teach me how to be a true professional in & outside the ring.
