Meet Garrett Kidd | Stadium Content Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Garrett Kidd and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Garrett, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
Garrett Stadium Travel began when I was just a 15-year-old kid posting photos from different sporting events. At the time, it was simply a way to share my experiences. I never imagined it would grow into what it is today. From the start, my goal was clear: to see all 124 major professional sports teams play a game in their home stadium or arena, something I call Club 124. It was my personal bucket list, not a business plan.
Everything shifted during the lockdown in 2020. With sports paused and time to reflect, I began thinking about how I wanted to capture my experiences more intentionally. That led me to explore long-form storytelling and diversify where I shared my content. When fans returned in 2021, I was ready. I leaned into creating richer, more engaging content, and the audience began to grow.
What began as a personal archive slowly evolved into something bigger. As more people followed along, the idea of monetizing became a natural next step. At its core, though, Garrett Stadium Travel is still driven by the same thing that started it all: a love for sports, a passion for unique experiences, and the joy of sharing that journey with others.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’d say my content is pretty simple in design and execution, and that’s exactly why I think it works. I’m not chasing clicks; I’m not loading my videos with flashy jump cuts or gimmicks to keep retention up. My approach is more old-school: everything is chronological, sometimes even a little slow, because I want people to actually feel the experience with me. I never want to mislead or deceive my viewers; if you watch my videos, you’re getting the real thing.
One thing I’m really proud of is the video library I’ve built over the past three years. My storytelling and editing have gotten better with every trip, but I’m far from satisfied. There are still so many stadiums to visit and so many experiences to capture. I always tell people, ‘My favorite stadium is the next one.’
Getting here wasn’t without mistakes. Early on, I had plenty, holding the camera wrong, filming in portrait when I should’ve been in landscape, and blurry shots. A casual viewer might not notice, but they still haunt me a bit because I’m a perfectionist. And there’s still one challenge I’m working on: talking to a camera in public. I have no clue how some creators do it so naturally; I still need to give myself a pep talk every time I hit record.
But here’s the thing: that discomfort taught me a lot. Stepping out of your comfort zone is huge, and learning not to care what strangers think of you is even bigger. Not everyone is going to understand your passion or your process, and that’s okay. As long as you understand it, the right people will get it too.
At the end of the day, I know my content isn’t for everyone. But if you love sports, travel, and the feeling of being part of something bigger than yourself, I think you’ll feel right at home with Garrett Stadium Travel.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If someone asked me to be their tour guide in Southern California… I’m not sure I’d be my own first pick, but I’d give it a shot. One thing’s for sure, we’re hitting at least one sporting event. Could be the Padres, Rams, Kings, or Clippers — pick your poison; there’s no wrong answer.
Outside of sports, I’m a big fan of the beaches. Yeah, they can be a little tourist-heavy, but spots like Santa Monica, Huntington Beach, Long Beach, or Coronado Beach all have that mix of sand, shops, and great food that makes for a solid day.
If I wanted to throw in something a little underrated, I’d take them to the grill at Torrey Pines. You don’t have to be a golfer to enjoy it; the coastline views from that casual spot are unreal. It’s the kind of place you sit for ‘just a quick lunch’ and then suddenly realize you’ve been there for hours.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Honestly, my friends and family have been amazing from day one. They’ve gone to games with me, put up with my sometimes totally chaotic content schedule, and still show genuine interest in this crazy sports journey I’m on.
But if I’m being real, my mom deserves the biggest shoutout. She’s survived some of my wildest trip ideas — and yeah, there’s usually an eye roll or two — but she still suggests places I should check out. She’s been there through every win and every bad decision, cheering me on the whole way. I wouldn’t be here without her support… in this project and in life. I really do have the best mom in the world.
