Meet Gabriela & Ivana Tovar, Quintanar | Gabriela: Head of Marketing Ivana: Head of Graphic Design

We had the good fortune of connecting with Gabriela & Ivana Tovar, Quintanar and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Gabriela & Ivana, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Incógnita Estudio was founded because there seemed to be a need for a creative market within our city. We believed it was best to fuse equal parts marketing and graphic design to hone in creativity and to offer a rounded marketing service to the consumer.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Incógnita Estudio formally began during the pandemic and has exponentially grown over these past couple of years into what it is today: a creative agency focused on providing dynamic marketing and graphic design solutions to our clients. We stand out from other creative agencies because our services are focused on innovation and out-of-the box thinking: we create meaningful, fully-rounded, and creative online and offline experiences for every brand we work with.
Our expertise lies in social media and branding. We currently manage nineteen social media accounts and have worked with very interesting clients to create their brand from scratch and fit their vision. We are very grateful for the trust our clients have given us!
Since Incógnita Estudio began, it has been a roller coaster, we have grown a lot, which we are very grateful for but at the same time, we have had to be in constant adaptation, incorporating people to the team and being able to transmit our vision to them. We have met very valuable people who have helped us to make this trip a little better, and have managed to pull through with the support of everyone around us. We are extremely excited to expand our team, as well the new projects and challenges that are coming in the future.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
San Diego is such a beautiful city filled with lots of things to do and visit! We would take our friends to visit Coronado beach due to its spectacular view of the famous Del Coronado Hotel and its beautiful beach. In Coronado you are able to rent a bike and ride along the nice streets, or rent a canoe or paddle to explore the bay. Downtown San Diego— best known as Gaslamp Quarter—is a must-go place to visit due to its great nightlife and restaurants. Our itinerary would include enjoying a good dining experience in Little Italy. Finally, we would definitely take our friends to a Padres baseball game! It is a very iconic and “San Diegan” activity because the games always have such a great atmosphere.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Ivana: Personally, my shoutout would go to my mom because she is the one that always encouraged me to not stay in a traditional job but rather to follow my dreams and pursue what would make me happy.
Gaby: For me, my shoutout would go to my parents and my friends—especially my boyfriend—for always cheering me on and encouraging me to fulfill my aspirations.
