We had the good fortune of connecting with Flavio Scorsato and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Flavio, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
I love a quote by the Italian movie director Federico Fellini. “You exist only in what you do.” I think the literal meaning of it explains everything. For me it is important not only to do what you do, but to live for it. It’s the idea that your work will outlive you.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
L E A F Wedding Photography is a boutique wedding photography studio, that is specialized in photojournalistic and editorial style wedding photos. The biggest and most important for us is the storytelling aspect of the weddings while documenting one of the most important days of people’s lives. Some of the things that set us apart from other studios besides the focus on documenting the wedding with a photojournalistic approach is our care in the composition and framing and the image editing to bring a cinematic look on every image.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When I have friends in town I love to take them around. here are some favorites neighborhoods and some great spots for food and drinks, in no particular order: North Park for some drinks at Polite Provisions. Little Italy is always fun, with art galleries, antique stores, restaurants, and two coffee shops I love: James and Bird Rock. Liberty Station Public Market for Buona Forchetta delicious Neapolitan pizza and for my favorite beer down the road at Modern Times Brewery. Blacks Beach for a stroll under the cliffs. Pacific Beach skateboard up and down the boardwalk. Stop in La Jolla for lunch at El Pescador Fish Market. Check some new bars and food spots up North on the 101 by Encinitas. There’s so much to do in this city, but more than anything just the feel good vibes of living in San Diego would be enough for a visit.
