We had the good fortune of connecting with Farid Ghanbari and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Farid, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
I love this question because I have asked it a lot from myself.

I think we all challenge with this question in our life each day. Not only in our business but also in our routine daily life.
It’s just like when you move to a new place and you start seeing some new problems and at some point a voice tells you you should get back to your old hometown, this is not for you. But the moment you decide to stay and keep going depends on so many factors like how much you love to experience new things weather it’s tough or not, how much you believe in you, how much you really want it and how much your vision is realistic to the world.

Sometimes I might end up giving up after considering those questions. But I feel good about that because I am always one step higher in my life since I had one more experience.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is CGI which stands for computer graphic imagery. All I create is digital art which can be still frame or animation. My inspirations can be everything, like nature, people, stuff happen in the world, textures, light and shadows, clouds or even a tiny cute butterfly colors. I love to enjoy observing the world around me and then illustrate them in a way that I see them through my creativity.

I am always excited about my new artworks because every single second I spend on it I live it and I feel it. I can’t imagine how I could live and enjoy life without art. But getting to this point had a lot of challenges like I have to learn a lot about software and keep updated with each new version. Or knowing so many artists and study about art history to have a stronger taste of art. Even sometimes I have to deal with a lot of technical issues like computer random errors or long time simulation process. But I think all those challenges is what define my path and gives me the please of seeing the final result.

One thing I learned from all my experiences so far is that I should be patient and be consistent if I want to see the result that I really love.

At the end I have to say that I am extremely happy and grateful for having the chance to touch art in my life and I want it so bad for everyone.

Art is the color of life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I have moved to LA recently (almost 6 month) but I can easily tell that my favorite spot so far is Topanga canyons. It’s very green with so many sceneries. You can also find some good restaurants and cafes as well.

Second one is Griffith park.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I appreciate 3FX. Inc and The Mill as 2 companies that I have been working with and learned a lot from them.

Also there is a book called ” The story of contemporary art by Tony Godfrey which helped me knowing so many art styles.
