Meet Erick Lopez | Content creator and Influencer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Erick Lopez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Erick, what do you attribute your success to?
One of the most important factors in my journey as a content creator is to always be myself. In the past, I have admittedly compared myself to other creatives, and I find myself to be very critical of my work when I measure other people’s success to my own accomplishments. At the end of the day, we all have our own creative process and what i do makes me happy because it allows me to be my full, unapologetic self.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I currently manage a brewery in Anaheim called Brewery X. Let me tell you, It was not an easy journey to get to where I am today. I moved states, changed career paths, and went through a divorce. I had to overcome plenty of emotional obstacles and I’m still taking them day by day. I’ve learned a lot in my past and one thing I always hold true is to never be someone you’re not. Always be the best possible friend, brother, sister, loved one you can be and the rest will fall into place. I started BeastlyAppetite for anyone that needs a smile, laugh, or needs a good food recommendation. I wanted to be able to reach like-minded people and make a friend or two along the way. Now, I don’t know what I would do without the community of friends I’ve met through content creating. Most importantly I appreciate everything that’s happened in my past because it has shaped me to where I want to be today.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite spots around the area are: Santa Ana, Costa Mesa, Anaheim and Disneyland. I would start in my hometown, Santa Ana, and grab breakfast at my favorite place, Cafecito Cultura in Downtown Santa Ana on fourth street (La Quatro). Then, we would go to Costa Mesa for lunch at Vaca to enjoy some spanish style tapas and enjoy each other’s company. For Dinner, we would go to the Anaheim Packing House and enjoy the many restaurants inside a foodies paradise. My go to, is Urbana. A mexican restaurant with some amazing tacos. On our last day, a visit to Disneyland to end the trip with some great memories and full bellys.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My success in what I do stems from my father. As a child, I remember going to Disneyland practically every Sunday because my dad was very adamant about spending time as a family. Over the years, we got older and life changed, but going to Disneyland was always a constant and it was all thanks to my dad’s love for the parks. As far as getting started on social media, my two friends, Buddy and Tasha, I owe the world to. If I didn’t have them to mentor me early on in my creative process, I don’t think I would be here today.
