Meet Elizabeth Hua | Founder of House of Hua Salon | Eyelash Extensions

We had the good fortune of connecting with Elizabeth Hua and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Elizabeth, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Start small. I saved cash for my inventory and start up costs. I kept my rent low. I knew I was confidant in my skills and knew thats why my clients came to me. I learned to use only what I needed and as the business grew I was able to get what I wanted in terms of space and decor.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
House of Hua salon is a salon that delivers beautiful lash extensions. We help women save time when getting ready and offer lashes that are waterproof and retain its curl for 2-3 weeks.
We like to make things easy so we go through a consultation questionnaire with you to understand your needs and make sure you feel seen and heard.
After that, the fun starts! What makes us unique is the private lash rooms. Its your space. Use it to sleep, talk, listen to a podcast…Whatever you desire.
In addition to that, we record every step and product used so we can replicate that time and time again. Have you ever gotten your hair done and loved the results only to come back and it wasn’t done the same? Yea, us too. Record keeping eliminates the guess work so you can have the very best lashes every single time.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My Son Niko. I started my business myself. The research, paperwork, and financials were all me. The one that helped keep me going was my little man. The journey of entrepreneurship is challenging. I kept a little sticker photo of him at my station where all my supplies were. Everytime i felt discouraged or tired I would look at that photo and say “If you aren’t going to do it for yourself, then do it for him” That fueled me to push through. Everytime.
