We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Neha Bhatia and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr. Neha, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Unlike most chiropractic offices, where patients are in and out the door in a few minutes, I wanted to have an office where I get to know each one of my patients and create a treatment plan that best suites the individual patients needs. I believe in taking a holistic approach to health and wellness, so I take into consideration all aspects of the patients life when I create a customized plan.
The dream was to create a place where patients feel instantly relaxed when they walk in through the door, and rejuvenated when they leave. That’s exactly what Revive has become. Here, patients can find a peaceful refuge to take time for self-care and feel truly “revived”.
Revive is more than your typical doctor’s office. It’s a cozy boutique style office, designed to provide a relaxing environment to help heal both the body and the mind. It’s an inviting space, where patients can find solace and feel welcomed. From the moment you step inside, you’ll be surrounded by a calming atmosphere, designed to help you relax and find peace.
The goal is to provide a safe space for healing and well-being. Revive is a place where you can take the time to focus on your health and wellness, and find the balance you need to live a healthy lifestyle.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
As a business owner, it can be intimidating to put yourself out there in order to market your business. You might be told to join certain networking groups or put up booths at farmers markets, but those tactics might not fit with your personality. I learned that when it comes to marketing, you have to be authentic to who you are and figure out what works best for your business.
When I started my own business, I was encouraged to join networking groups and put up booths at farmer’s markets. While those strategies may work for some, they weren’t the right fit for me. Instead, I decided to find other ways to connect with people and market my business in a way that was genuine to who I am as a person and as a doctor.
By finding new and creative ways to market my business, I was able to reach more people and really start to thrive. It was then that I realized the importance of staying true to yourself and your business when it comes to marketing. It important to find a strategy that works for you and resonates with your target audience. I found when I did this, that’s when clients started coming to me and when my business really started thriving.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m so in love with San Diego that I have a laundry list of places near and dear to my heart! Topping that list is Sunset Cliffs, a must-visit if you’re in the area. A walk down the path will show you the most breathtaking views.
For lunch, head over to the The Rose in South Park for some delicious oysters and wine. After your meal, head over to Little Italy and grab a coffee at my favorite coffee shop “James Coffee”. Then take a stroll around Little Italy and explore the cute boutiques.
Next, one of my favorite places for dinner is Callie. The diverse mediterranean menu is hands down the best food you will ever eat! Make sure to try their delicious cocktails as well.
Once you’ve finished your meal, Noble Experiment is the place to be for after dinner drinks. This speak easy has a unique atmosphere and some of the most delicious, one-of-a-kind cocktails.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My dad is the foundational pillar of my success. He has been my biggest motivator and supporter throughout my life. When I was young, he taught me invaluable lessons about work ethics, responsibility, and things that I could never learn in a classroom, He has always been encouraging and gave me the confidence to achieve my goals.
Growing up, my dad showed me that girls can do anything if not better than men. His words of wisdom and support have allowed me to accomplish things I never thought possible. He showed me how to be a strong and independent woman. He has always been a role model and has given me the courage to take risks and face challenges.
My dad is an integral part of my life and the success of my business and I am forever grateful to have a father like him.
