We had the good fortune of connecting with Dominic Pacheco and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dominic, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to be my own boss. I worked at chick fil a, and was tired of working for someone else. I wanted to set my own hours and rely on my own self discipline to propel me to success.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’m the youngest realtor at Willis Allen Real Estate. I started off as an assistant and eventually went off on my own. What sets me apart is my work ethic and personality. My ability to communicate effectively with my clients and their needs is one of my greatest traits. I’ve learned the lesson of self-accountability. In this business I have no boss, I have no one to tell me what to do. My success directly correlates with my ability to stay consistent.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In La Jolla we would go to breakfast at Richard Walkers, take a walk to the cove, and spend the day at the beach. We’d soak in the sun and enjoy a fun active day in the water. We would go watch the sun set over scripps pier from the hills of La Jolla. We’d end the day walking around my office and taking in the beautiful weather.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My parents. They have supported me along my journey. In school when I wasn’t doing great, to when I decided to jump out on my own in real estate. Their unwavering love has been a huge relief to me throughout this journey.
