We had the good fortune of connecting with Delilah Giron and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Delilah, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
When I started my own business in 2016 my thought was I wanted to be able to create more time freedom for myself and be able to do do things on my terms through the day. Time is such a valuable thing that we all take for granted. We don’t realize what we have until we don’t have it anymore, so being able to create more time freedom to do the things I love and also being my own boss was so important to me.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?

I believe in creating timeless memories for everyone. The real, the raw, mundane and yet beautiful memories. My goal as a photographer is to put a pause button on life for just a moment because life is full of memories, memories we don’t get back so my goal is always to create a lifestyle approach to your images and I believe that’s what sets me apart from other photographers because the images tell a story in a moment in my clients lives.

It took me a few years to find my style, find my brand and really push for what I was trying to create. A lot of trial and error because like every creative we want to try it all but it took me years to narrow down my niche and find what set my heart of fire.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would say the beach. There’s so many beautiful locations close to the beach and having grown up in Southern California when I was younger and moving away for half my life I’ve grown a huge appreciation for the ocean and the beauty and magic it creates.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Chris Nelson. He was my boss for several years but also like a mentor to me in many ways. Because of him I learned so much as a business owner.
May he Rest In Peace
