We had the good fortune of connecting with Dejeuné Harris and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dejeuné, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
When I decided to start my own business, it was driven by a deep desire for freedom—both personally and creatively. After escaping a domestic violence relationship, I wanted to reclaim my voice and help other women do the same. I realized that so many women, especially black and brown creative entrepreneurs, weren’t living up to their fullest potential, and I knew I could help them express their power and confidence through their personal style.

At the same time, I wanted to show my son that no matter what challenges you face, you can pursue your passion and build a life on your own terms. This business is not just about fashion—it’s about transformation, empowerment, and showing women that they can embrace their true selves and shine, no matter what they’ve been through.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My work as a personal stylist is deeply rooted in empowerment and transformation. I focus on helping black and brown creative entrepreneurs align their personal style with their professional ambitions. What sets me apart is my ability to combine intentional style with a deep understanding of my clients’ personal journeys, ensuring that every look we create reflects their individuality and amplifies their confidence and presence.

I’m incredibly proud of the impact I’ve had on women who are stepping into their power and owning their style. Watching my clients transform—how they carry themselves, and how they show up in their businesses and personal lives—fuels my passion. I’m also excited about the continued growth of my business and the opportunity to serve more women who deserve to feel empowered through their wardrobes.

Getting here wasn’t easy. As a single mom with a professional background in government, working in social services, I’ve always had a heart for helping people, especially those facing adversity. That experience has made me more compassionate and attuned to supporting others in times of need. After escaping a domestic violence relationship, I realized I wanted to help women find their voice through style—because I know firsthand how it feels to be silenced.

I also had to overcome the challenges of starting my business from the ground up, without any shortcuts. I leaned on my education in Fashion Merchandise Marketing and my hands-on experience working with a celebrity stylist to hone my craft. But more than anything, it was the unwavering support from my family—especially my grandmother, mom, and aunt—that helped me push through the tough times.

My brand is more than just fashion. It’s about helping women live up to their fullest potential and show up authentically, unapologetically, and confidently in the world. I want the world to know that no matter what you’ve been through, you can still create something beautiful and powerful. Through my work, I aim to inspire and remind women that their story, like their style, is uniquely their own—and it deserves to be seen.
