We had the good fortune of connecting with Darian Didier and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Darian, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
The most important lesson my business has taught me is to not be scared or worry so much. When something is suppose to happen all the pieces will fall into place. And if they don’t, it is redirecting you to the correct outcome. What is meant for you will never miss you. You just have to promise yourself to not give up. It’s easy to get stuck in your head, but you need to remember you are your biggest cheerleader. You are the only one who can hear your thoughts so it’s so important to talk to yourself like you are your best friend. It will guide you to success. When I did get scared or start to worry I would use those emotions to push me. I would sit with those feelings and figure out where this was stemming from and why I was doubting myself. Once I understood then I would change my mindset and tell myself “Nope, I’m going to prove to myself I can do this and make it happen.”

What should our readers know about your business?

From a young age I always had a passion for clothes and expressing my style. I enjoyed helping others find outfits or pieces that would make them feel their absolute best. For this reason, I finally decided to follow my dreams and DARIAN DIDIER came to life. My goal was to create something that would make women feel comfortable and confident, with quality that would last. This line is compiled of every day essential pieces that are able to be dressed up or down and will become wardrobe staples. They are key pieces every women should have in their closet to create a perfect outfit.

I get so excited when I hear women tell me how beautiful they feel in my clothes. I do a little happy dance! Some women have told me they struggled finding dresses they feel confident in, but my design fits perfectly and holds their curves in all the right places. Fits like a glove! Other’s are shocked how amazing the fabric feels. They says it’s amazingly soft and they want to sleep in it!

It took me a while to finally have the courage to start my business. I was scared and felt like I didn’t have the enough knowledge to actually start. But now I realized that was the right push I needed to actually start my clothing line. It’s okay not to know because the only way to know is to immerse yourself in it. You learn from your mistakes and grow.

I wouldn’t say it was an easy process because there are so many emotions you have to go through behind the scenes that most people don’t show or tell you about. It’s the fear of failing, but like I said before making a mistake is OK because you just learned a lesson and you will succeed next time. When starting a business you can’t be scared to fail – that is one of the biggest secrets. And say it does take a couple tries, that moment when it does work out, it is the most beautiful and rewarding feeling. When overcoming challenges it’s important to sit with it and not run away. You have to face it head on – that is the key.

I want the world to know that when they are wearing DARIAN DIDIER they are wearing self-love. No matter who you are, what you look like, where you come from or what you’ve gone, you are loved. We all have our own story and that is what makes us all so special. We are uniquely perfect in our own ways. No one is you and that is your power.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my parent’s because they are the reason I’m living my life to the fullest and pursuing my dreams. They both have passed, but they knew how to live and never take a moment for granted. They helped so many people in their short amount of time and I hope I can do this with my clothing line. I even named two of the pieces from the collection after them The Davey Tank Bodysuit and The Christene Dress. Love you mom and dad!
