We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniela Angulo, Geovanna Vertino NA and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Daniela Angulo, Geovanna Vertino, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Our decision to start our own business was a result of a deep passion for the industry, a desire for autonomy, careful market research, financial considerations, a focus on long-term sustainability, and a commitment to making a positive impact. It was a thoughtfully planned and strategic move to turn our vision into a reality.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Embarking on the path of a kitchen designer has been both a rewarding and challenging experience. The journey involves a constant dance between creativity and functionality, navigating evolving design trends and technologies. Project management skills are tested daily, coordinating with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless execution within set parameters. Staying current with industry innovations is a continual demand, requiring adaptability and a commitment to ongoing learning. Despite these challenges, the satisfaction of translating a client’s vision into a functional and aesthetically pleasing kitchen makes the journey immensely fulfilling. Each obstacle is an opportunity for growth, and the dynamic nature of the field keeps the passion for creating beautiful, purposeful spaces alive.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would certainly bring them to Liberty Station, Balboa Park, and Coronado. Our day would commence with a leisurely walk in Coronado, accompanied by a delightful breakfast overlooking the bay. Next, we would explore Balboa Park, taking in the museums, architectural wonders, and botanical gardens. Finally, we’d conclude our day at Liberty Station, savoring a delicious dinner and indulging in delightful desserts at its market.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We would like to express our gratitude to the San Diego community for providing us with invaluable opportunities to learn and grow. This shoutout is dedicated to our supportive and inspiring clients that have played a crucial role in our journey and helped us built our confidence and to develop our experience in the kitchen industry.
