We had the good fortune of connecting with Crystal Sandoval and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Crystal, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I’ve always thought of myself as a creative person when it came to myself. I had that look, the nails, the lashes, the shoes & the hair so I thought why not try and attempt something I would enjoy doing. So I started lashing, I watched countless of start up videos, how to’s, and the end results and I was fascinated.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
One thing that sets me apart from others is that I will take in everything I can to make sure I get it right. I’m most proud of every set I do because it’s just me getting better and better. It wasn’t an easy road getting to where I am now, it still isn’t, the patience I need to have when growing is crucial!! Nothing happens overnight and that’s a constant battle I have with myself. I’m still continuing overcoming all challenges but I’m also enjoying myself and learning new things.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have a few people that have supported me in my lash journey. One person who motivated me and inspired me was actually my own lash tech Diana! She was someone that held the same aspirations as me when it came to lashing, she was super supportive and helped me out with starting esthetics school! My parents were the backbone and still are the backbone of my small business, they helped me with start up costs, my mother is actually a reacquiring client of mine, my dad helped me with school and just encouraged me to keep going because they knew I had a passion for the beauty industry. My best friend Kiarrie was my second client and helped me out so much when it came down to supporting me and letting me lash her! Idk how many hours she was on the bed letting me practice, she’s the best.
