We had the good fortune of connecting with Christopher Dahl and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christopher, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
My wife, son, and I were all diagnosed with Lyme Disease in 2013. One of the treatments that we felt helped us the most was receiving Reiki. This inspired my wife Amanda and I to learn Reiki and become practitioners ourselves, both for our own treatment and to help others.
As we found other modalities that were beneficial to our own healing, we trained in those modalities and added them to our portfolio. We started with just offering Reiki treatments, which grew to other offerings such health coaching, Emotion Code, Soul Coaching, and others.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My wife and I started Dahl Holistic Health as a way to give back to others and share our gifts and knowledge we gained on our journey. We were sick for many years, with no answers as to what was making us sick. Once we started working with a naturopath, energy healers, and a massage therapist, we were finally able to make progress with our healing and get to a state of remission from our Lyme Disease.
We saw an opportunity to use all of this knowledge to be a part of other’s healing, and serve others. Our business is focused on healing the body physically, energetically, and spiritually. Every person is much greater than just our physical form here in the world. It is our honor to be part of our client’s complete wellness.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The thing that drew me to San Diego in the first place is the ocean. Before we moved to SD we rented a condo on Mission Beach. Every morning I sat on that beach in the sand, staring at the ocean, and I realized that California is where I belonged.
My other favorite spots are Torrey Pines State Beach. The SRF Meditation Garden in Encinitas with lunch at Swami’s Cafe. Visiting all of the amazing animals at the Zoo. Looking down on the seals at the Children’s Pool in La Jolla.
My favorite eateries are The Friendly in Kearney Mesa (new favorite), Tigris Grille, Aladdin Restaurant, and California Burritos and Carne Asada fries from more amazing Mexican food restaurants to list!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Reiki Masters Kathy Cueva and Bob Bowen at the Reiki Wind School in La Mesa were amazing teachers, mentors, and friends! Through my learning journey in the world of Reiki they were patient, compassionate, and a wealth of knowledge. They no longer have the Reiki Wind School, but the community they built over the years in San Diego still lives on to this day!
