Hi Chrissy & Lianna, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
When it comes to our business, this is one part of the story we never shy away from—because it’s truly the heart of everything we do. From day one, we’ve built Honest Skin on the foundation of our faith, and it’s completely reshaped how we define success. Every decision, every pivot, every celebration has been filtered through the lens of our faith and rooted in the firm foundation of Jesus Christ.⁣

⁣We can say with full confidence that we would not be where we are today without Him. He’s been present through every joyful milestone, every hard lesson, and every season of growth. We’re beyond grateful that He is not only part of our story—but the author of it from beginning to end.

What should our readers know about your business?
As much as we wish getting to where we are today—and where we’re headed—was easy, the truth is, it’s taken daily grit, faith, and a whole lot of intentionality. It’s a mindset: to show up, to push forward, and to create real change in both our industry and our community. That kind of momentum doesn’t come without sacrifice.⁣

⁣One of the things we’re most proud of, especially being a business born in the middle of the 2020 pandemic, is that we’ve always stayed grounded in our mission: to make skincare affordable, approachable, and attainable. In an ever-changing economy, we’ve stayed committed to serving the everyday working professional—people who are working hard to care for themselves without having to choose between great skin and the rest of their self-care routines. No one should have to give up their nails, hair, or gym membership just to feel good in their skin.⁣

⁣We’ve simplified our treatment menu, focused on core services that deliver real results in all seasons of life, and partnered with trusted brands to support our clients both in and out of the treatment room.⁣

⁣But the most special part of what we do? The relationships. We’re relational people through and through, and nothing matters more to us than building authentic, lasting connections with the people we serve—well beyond the facial bed.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Gosh, as two native San Diegans, we could spill all the tea here—because truly, we live in such a vibrant city that offers a little bit of everything! Being part of the small business community, there are so many gems we’d love to highlight.⁣

⁣We’d kick things off with coffee at Moniker in Point Loma—a staple for a reason. It’s cozy, welcoming, and perfect for a little catch-up session over lattes and light bites. From there, we’d head to Liberty Public Market for a little foodie adventure—grab something delicious to go and take a walk around Shelter Island for some iconic San Diego views.⁣

⁣For happy hour? Ketch or Bali Hai are our go-tos for drinks with a view. But we promise—we’re not just foodies! We’re all about self-care, too. We love a good sweat sesh at Honor Pilates, Fitstop La Jolla, or Activate House. If you’re in the mood for some serious pampering, a blowout or transformation at Style Lounge will have you feeling like a new human—and don’t even get us started on the magic of a full-body reset at Deep Wave.⁣

⁣For slower moments, we love strolling through the Botanical Gardens in Encinitas or the Japanese Tea Garden at Balboa Park. Whether you’re looking for something solo or want to spend time with friends, San Diego really does have something for everyone.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We love this question because as small business owners, we deeply understand what it takes to keep moving forward—and it’s all about having the right people in your corner. We are endlessly grateful for our business strategist, Ishmael from Core Compass. He’s been absolutely phenomenal. We don’t believe in gatekeeping, especially when it comes to him! His expertise, support, and strategic guidance have played a huge role in our growth, and every meeting with him leaves us feeling more equipped and encouraged.⁣

⁣He’s the one who introduced us to one of our all-time favorite reads, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, which continues to shape both our business structure and our personal growth journeys.⁣
