We had the good fortune of connecting with Cade McLean and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cade, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I grew up traveling and exploring the world as a young kid. This has inspired my adventurous spirit and challenged me to create images that tell more than your average photo. Going the extra mile to get shots that others won’t get is what sets me apart as a creative.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I love going the extra mile in extreme conditions to get the best shot. I love to adventure and be creative all at the same time.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite parts of Santa Barbara are all in the hills behind our town. Lizards mouth and Gibraltar are two of my favorite spots

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to recognize Daniel Behar for pushing me and encouraging me to not give up on my dreams.
