We had the good fortune of connecting with Bryahna Stocks and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bryahna, how do you think about risk?
I think of risk taking as a necessity. it sometimes fells like a life or death situations that often come up everyday or multiple times in a day. I like to think of Taking risk as a stepping stool that gets me to the next step. I take risks often in life and business sometimes things as minor as logo color to seriousness of putting so much money into a possible lucrative business doing something I love . with possibility of it crashing as a single mother that’s been the biggest risk. Though super scary and nerve wrecking at times its helped me tremendously in my career/business. taking those leaps into jobs I didn’t think I was qualified for. or party sizes I didn’t think I was ready for. if I didn’t take those risk and apply to the job and show up for myself who would ?and I’m grateful and so blessed to continuously be presented with those risks that enable growth for myself and daughter.

I created this business because i love to food and how it can make people feel i also love to give back and do what i can for others, from being in abusive relationships from childhood/friendships I ended up in situations i had no body and no close relatives . but through those situations I’ve always had angels . that’s what I try and give to others just a bit of light in the darkness. that is why I take a portions of proceeds and my own money and donations to our outreach projects that i pray will continue to grow with more and more . So far every year we do houseless neighbors packages which come with survival gear that i myself wish I had when experiencing homelessness

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
i love all of san Diego ! and the amount of diversity in not just the people and food but also in the activities, i often say its a little bit of everything for everyone, id have to show seaport and little Italy exploring and trying all the food and just the scenic views . i love a good bar scene or brewery so id say NorthPark and recently downtown la mesa would be a stop . id definitely have to take them for a hike a couple of my faves are Cowells mountain and rancho penasquitios reserve both have awesome views and los pen canyon reserve leads to a beautiful waterfall. we definitely have to hit at least one beach and head down to barrio Logan for some of my favorite Hispanic food. i have favorite Hispanic restaurants all over san Diego county , but when looking for authentic id show them quarto milpas , they have amazing fresh food they have been around for a very longtime and usually have a line wrapped around the block but its so worth the wait ,

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shoutout would be to the people who have supported and helped me as I continue to grow and build. Thank you to my aunt Serena and family. Those have been there I’m forever greatful and blessed.
