We had the good fortune of connecting with Bruce Imig and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bruce, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thoughts process behind starting my FPV drone business was to make some extra money on the side from my current profession as a journeyman plumber. I also really enjoy the work I do in the business so the money aspect is always a bonus to doing what I already enjoy. Also its a fun challenge to see if I can build a profitable business.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from other Fpv drone services is Im always trying to provide more than my clients ask for. Going above and beyond a clients expectations really comes back in a positive way and leads to more work in the future.
I got to where I am today through support of friends in the action sports industry. I grew up riding bmx bikes and eventually got into standard filming, that eventually led to me realizing I can fly cameras. Flying drones gives me the adrenaline I used to get when riding my bmx bike without injuring my body, and it’s giving me the ability to document other disciplines in a dynamic way that standard cameras cant get. Ive learned pace yourself, cause it’s not a race. Building something takes time and theres no need to get yourself in a situation if your not ready or equipped for it yet. I want the world to know Im trying to capture the beautiful creation of the world and the progression of talented human beings.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I live in San Diego so I would honestly take them all around the city cause theres so much to offer and experience out here. If I had to pick one spot to visit it would be the beach cities, there top tier. Food wise we have some of the best Mexican food in the USA in my opinion. Mikes Taco Club is the spot I would take them, and theres plenty of places to get a drink with a view, so honestly theres so much I couldn’t write all the experiences and places you could enjoy.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shout out God for giving me the opportunity to be able to build and grow in an industry that has tons of potential. I also want to thank the local drone company NewBee Drones for always helping me with last minute part orders to get gigs done safe and proper. The Fpv drone community has showed so much love in sharing knowledge and troubleshooting problems that come along the way.
