Meet Brittany Lander | Business Owner / Graphic Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Lander and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittany, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
When I started my own business, I was a single woman living on her own, working a full time job. I took on projects as I could as a sort of side income but most of my energy went into the 9-5 as it was more stable. After I met my now husband and we got married then had our son, that job I had committed all my energy to for years fired me. After returning from Maternity Leave my performance levels “dropped” due to having to take care of a newborn during a pandemic and my work life balance shifted because what mattered most, was my child. Now I was a new Mom but my career goals never changed. What I wanted my little business to become only became more important because I was doing this not only for me, but for my little family. Now my son is a toddler with more independence so I can give my clients all of the energy that is needed for each project without feeling like I’m sacrificing my Childs needs. Work From Home Moms are a special kind of beast. We have everything to prove and immense need to succeed and we do it with a growing human at the hip.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
When I started Atomic Pop Studios, I wanted to offer small businesses guidance and designs to make their businesses not only feel professional but look professional. From designing their logo to designing their whole website. Many small businesses simply don’t have the capital to pay professionals to make them the assets they need to look as legitimate as they really are. Even the idea of having a website seems far from reach in the beginning but could be the one thing holding their business back the most. As a professional, I wanted to make these marketing tools available to anyone with a passion or idea an so Atomic Pop was born.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My Husband Adam has been incredibly supportive through-out my growing business journey. He is constantly promoting my business services to everyone he meets and finding me amazing clients to work with and fun projects to take on. My number one cheerleader, he is always proud of the work I do and without him I might never have realized just how much I was capable of.
