Hi Brent, what makes you happy? Why?
Balance and engagement – I find happiness through doing the things I love and helping those around me. I have been fortunate to have a career following my passion and have stuck to it long enough to be successful at it. That mixed with non-work passions, helps me regulate a lifestyle that puts a smile on my face every day. Work in an industry that allows you to shine, surround yourself with good people who help you be your best, and do that in every discipline you have – Personal, Family, Social, Spiritual, Work. And remember you have to take care of yourself before you can effectively help others.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I work as a Film Director in the TV and Commercial world. We are always trying to find a way to tell a story that connects and engages the viewer to a brand. It is a crazy business with a high dropoff component but very addictive for the right type of person. We work long hours with 100% focus on one thing until wrap. This industry is known for its chicken and egg barrier to entry. (Show us your experience before we hire you)

But there is plenty of room for good people. If you want to make it keep pushing and never stop marketing yourself

Clients like focused hard hard-working Directors who have a creative vision and are easy to work with – I deliver that.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I live in Orange County so probably the touristy spots like Disney, Knotts and Newport.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Family is the foundation so thanks to my home support. If you don’t have a good family situation create a new one with those you love.

All my clients and coworkers keep me busy and on task – so Thank You for that.
