We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandon Harrison and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brandon, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
It was to do something that I love and can make a difference in people’s lives. I love marriage, I love public speaking and I love meeting new people! It’s a business where I get to operate in my passions and have such a great time.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m an executive director at San Diego futures foundation. It has not been easy getting to this point. I’ve had lots of ups and downs in my career but I’ve stayed consistent in giving my best. It’s been an amazing journey to get to this point and I’m so grateful.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d start at Kate sessions park for relaxing and reading. Then I’d go to imperial beach for good food and the beach. Another day I’d go to an SDSU basketball game and football game. I love theater as well so I’d take my friend to San Diego broadway shows and have some good food at Benihana, tender greens and 23. I’d have them stay at the Lafayette hotel since it’s such a vibe. We’d have to go to the movies at the Lot and go bowling as well at the Lafayette. We would go to a few live music shows at the Rady Shell as well. I also love comedy so we would go to some mic drop comedy shows in Kearny Mesa.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
RISE San Diego deserves a huge shout out. This leadership program really changed my perspective on how I lead. It helped me do some deep personal work and wasn’t just a networking group but really impactful. It helped me see the power of adaptive leadership. Then my brother Jordan has inspired me. Seeing him constantly strove to be better and impact lives all over the world has helped me see the greatness in our family and to keep contributing towards that.
