We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Herold and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?

To me it’s my clients 100% of the time. They are my driving force and the sole reason I have made it where I am today.

I got into Massage work and skincare because I wanted to help people by bringing them a since of relief. Whether it be through relaxation, working on chronic pains or helping them find a healthy skin balance and self love/esteem back. When Covid happened and we had to shut down not only did my career get put on hold but my clients got hit hard and suffered with their own pain. That hit me hard just knowing I could not help them out. When we received the news that we could go back to work I was thrilled to get back in and to start bringing back my clients.

I appreciate them more than words can even describe. They have truly made my Day Dream come true.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

What I believe that makes my place and myself unique is the individual approach I take with each client. My favorite thing about what I do is that my clients typically come in with an issue due to years of repetitive use from work, or sports (this is for bodywork) and we focus on that and we work through a plan that helps them not only in the treatment room but also at home. I will suggest stretches, cbd cream and work adjustments for their everyday life to help them between treatments. For my skincare clients we focus on not just the surface but also what is going on internally, to better help them get the results they want to achieve. I am always excited to take a little extra time with my clients to help them tailor their treatment to themselves rather than be a generic massage or facial.

I will say it was not easy to get where I am today. It was a lot of hard work and dedication. I always had people believing in me but I still had to come over some major hurtles.I had to dig very deep and believe in myself and to truly look inward and grow in areas that I felt where my weaknesses.

I have learned that to be a success and to be proud of who you are and what you do, you have to take time for others whether it be co-worker’s, clients, or family and truly listen to them and feel them and not just try to move to the next step quickly. Life is always going to throw you something your way and if you don’t take the time to slow down and really be in the moment you will miss what life is trying to tell you.

I want the world to know that there is someone out there that will take the time to listen to them and try their hardest to help them out with a treatment plan tailored to their needs.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well since I am a born and raised San Diegan I would have to say we would defiantly be hitting the beach, going on hikes up double peak in San Marcos or elfin forest. We would be grabbing sushi at sushi 4 reel in Oceanside, drinks at my favorite local place called Vista Village pub, and watch the sunset at the beach in Carlsbad.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

Wow that’s hard I have to say all my clients deserve a huge shout out. But the true people who are by my side everyday and continue to give me the love, support and who made this dream really come true are my parents Nancy and Bob Villalobos, my boyfriend who created my room and is by my side along with my siblings. And all of my friends/old co-workers (Virgina who was my mentor for many years and Kate, Carey my old co-workers) and my former bosses (Kerry Walsh and Alice parson). There are so many more that I wish I could name them all.

Thank you to my old place Ocean Day Spa in Carlsbad who gave me the stepping stone for my career.
