We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashlee Favro and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashlee, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I honestly started it by accident. I have always loved fashion and years ago when I first download instagram I would post photos of my outfits here and there. One thing lead to another with brands reaching out about free clothes, which at the time I was so excited about. Now its turned into paid compensation for my work. Couldn’t be happier doing something I love.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I create digital content for brands. This can be anything from hotels and travel, style, food and restaurants, along with skincare and beauty. I use my creativity to best showcase a product or item. It may look easy on instagram but there is a lot of work behind the scenes. You are contantly emailings with brands, reviewing contracts, negotiating /approving compensation, shooting the content, sending over for approval, reshooting if needed, and then making sure the content performs well for the brand. Lately I have been working on not comparing my journey to others, it can hard when your career is based on social media. This year so far I have been only providing content I truly like for myself instead of trying to always keep up with trends that everyone else is doing!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am currently in Philadelphia, and is such a great food city!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My fiancé now photographs about 99% of my photos. If he can he always try to work around my schedule to meet deadlines and is very patient when I have a vision I am trying to portray. Sometimes it can be hard explains the vision you have to someone else who is the one behind the lens but eventually we always make it work!
